One of the most visited places in Bali, Indonesia, is Ubud. Check out my Ubud blog to learn about the best activities, destinations, food and drink options, and, of course, some of my insider travel advice! From breathtaking waterfalls and rice terraces to yoga sessions, massages and treks up volcanoes! One of the very amazing cities I had read about before travelling to Bali Tour Package, Indonesia, was Ubud. Friends gushed over the food, yoga, waterfalls, spas, and other amenities, as well as the natural beauty. Everyone seemed to have a favourite location in the region, so I was sceptical and worried whether it would be overly commercialised and crowded.

What do you know? It wasn't, actually. Even though a lot of people were there, the place didn't have that awful tourist air that makes you think that all true culture has been lost. It exceeded my expectations and maybe even lived up to the hype. It's also quite reasonably priced. I decided to create this Ubud travel blog with a few of my favourite spots to see and activities to do after spending so many fun days there. Some are obvious (see, rice terraces and waterfalls!), while some are new spots that I couldn't wait to tell my friends about after visiting them!

Top Things To Do In Ubud, Bali

Rice Terraces in Tegalalang

The stunning, verdant rice terraces to the town's north are featured in the most famous images of Ubud. They are just as gorgeous as the pictures, and the vivid green gives the impression that the saturation has been increased!

While entry is free, there are small fees (a few IDR) to proceed to different sections. It is also possible to purchase pictures at the well-known Love Bali sign or to pose with one of the employees wearing the well-known hats!

Sunrise Trek atop Mount Batur

It was undoubtedly one of the hardest and most gratifying things I accomplished while I was in Indonesia. Anyone, regardless of holiday style or degree of fitness, should definitely do this walk. I've written more about it in this article, but the pictures should be enough to tell you all you need to know! Although it's not in Ubud, daily trips depart from the town.

Devasya Hot Springs Toya

I had just finished the morning walk atop Mount Batur when I went to these hot springs. Situated directly on the lake during Bali Tour Package, the sequence of swimming pools offered an incredibly breathtaking setting for contemplating an exciting morning. Although I went there as part of a tour, you could rent a scooter there.

Elephant Cave, located in Goa Gajah

Originally constructed in the ninth century, Goa Gajah is also known as the Elephant Cave at the Bali Tour Package. The stone that marks the cave's entrance is heavily carved. The cave itself is rather small! A sizable swimming pool with five sculptures of Hindu angels clutching vases that function as waterspouts is located in front of the cave. There are lovely gardens to discover as well. 15,000 IDR is the entrance cost.

Top tip: Don't be deceived by the many individuals selling sarongs outside who claim you need one to enter, since they include one in the cost of your ticket!

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Without a doubt, one of the most exquisite waterfalls close to Ubud is Kanto Lampo. It has only been formally open for a few years, and instead of having a massive weight of water fall, this one is structured almost like a set of steps. This place is suitable for swimming, however it dries up after a spell of no rain, like it did while we were there! Oh well. It costs 5,000 IDR to enter.

Rang Reng Waterfall in Goa

I recall the exact time we arrived at this waterfall, and it was very remarkable! Gorgeous waterfalls tumbling over the cliff face, with a sizable swimming hole at the summit. The ascent to the summit is steep and frequently slick, but there is a rope to keep you balanced.

You may explore a cave in addition to the breathtaking jungle route that leads to the falls! There were perhaps eight other people there when I went, and for a while we had the place to ourselves.

Tegenungan Fall

Tegenungan, the most well-known waterfall close to Ubud, is quite magnificent! On a hot day, it's a terrific spot to cool down, but be ready for the throng here. Entrance fee: 10,000 IDR; however, visiting the opposite side will cost an additional 10,000 or such.

Ubud's Monkey Forest

I had heard so many stories of monkeys stealing sunglasses, phones, and other items, so I was a little nervous about visiting Ubud's well-known Monkey Forest. Then, a few days before to our arrival, two monkeys had begun fighting over someone's head! The jungle is home to approximately 700 monkeys, many of which have given birth to cute little offspring.

It's also important to note that several monkeys are wreaking havoc on the main road and surrounding the entrance. They may go anywhere they like because it's not a zoo, although they probably appreciate the forest because tourists feed them food there every day. Although I had expected that the monkeys would be the primary attraction, there were also three wonderful temples, a river, and of course the stunning forest with its towering banyans to explore. Entry cost: Fifty thousand IDR.

In Ubud, yoga

It seems sense that so many people travel to Ubud, Bali Tour Package for mindfulness and relaxation given that it is such a serene, gorgeous area surrounded by nature. Even though I'm not a yogi, friends and other tourists I met along the route strongly praised The Yoga Barn. Every day, sessions are offered for all skill levels and preferences from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you want something more targeted, they also provide retreats. For a single visit, the starting price is 130,000 IDR (about £7.60), but if you schedule more lessons, the cost will decrease. Remember to go through all of my travel writings on Bali, as they are brimming with advice on how to get the most out of your trip, from where to stay to what activities to do, and what to bring. Where in Indonesia will you go next?

In the end, there is no shortage of things to do while on vacation in Bali with Utazzo, from discovering the island's breathtaking beaches and touring its ancient temples to indulging in mouthwatering Indonesian cuisine and going snorkelling in pristine seas.
