Qubit error correction is tough.

If the Qubit spin atom has only

2 spin States, how can you tell

when Cosmic Rays, or ordinary

background radiation has caused

a Qubit to flip ?

Enter Antimony in Silicon:

Antimony has Eight Spin States.

This means a SINGLE EVENT

is not enough to flip the spin

from say:

The First State to the Fourth State...

or

The Fourth State to the First State.

These multiple spin States

make error correction

theoretically possible

in a Quantum Computer Chip.

The error checking will slow the

chip down, of course,

but it will still be far faster than

current electron-flow technology.
