Konami Group on Thursday said sales in its gaming and systems division, including casino equipment, were up 3.0% year-on-year for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024. Those sales were slightly below 39.73 billion yen ($256.6 million), compared with 38.57 billion yen in the previous 12 months.

The gaming division posted revenue of about 6.21 billion yen in the 12 months to March 31, up 20.2% year-on-year.

The Japanese entertainment giant's gaming and systems division includes the supply of casino slot machines and casino floor management systems.

In the casino gaming segment, Konami Group operates operations outside of Japan through Konami Australia Pty Ltd and U.S.-based Konami Gaming Inc.

Konami Group said on Thursday that the North American and Australian gaming markets were "growing steadily" during the reporting period.

The company said the slot cabinet Dimensity series is expanding its market presence after launching Dimensity 43×3 slot cabinets with three 43-inch monitors. 파워볼사이트

Revenue from the group's Dimension 27 and Dimension 49 cabinets "steadily grew" during the period, the parent company said.

For cabinets supplied for revenue-sharing activities, it said it continues to "expand sales" of Dimensity 49J cabinets with 49-inch J-curve monitors and Dimensity 75C with 75-inch curve monitors.

Konami Group also said its "all-board" gaming series remained "industry-leading" for the 12 months to March 31, and titles such as "Steward Coin Toad" and "Dragon's Lo Fortune Bag" are also "performing well" in the North American market.

"In the Australian market, the 'Bullush' series remained high," the company added.

Konami Group said its casino management system, Syncro, went into operation at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a casino resort that opened in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December last year.

Konami Group said the "market environment is changing into a product that requires greater product appeal" as competitors continue to roll out new products.

"In this situation, we will increase brand value by developing new game titles and the latest technology features," the parent said.

The company said it will "further expand" the Dimension cabinet lineup offered in the market, while expanding the group's existing game sales and developing new titles.

The company said it expects revenue from the gaming segment to increase to 40 billion yen and revenue from that segment to increase by 20.7% in the 12 months ending March 31, 2025.

Konami Group is also involved in the Pachinko gaming division, which focuses on Japan, and digital entertainment and sports, including video games and mobile games. In the year to March 31, the group's overall sales rose 14.6% year-on-year to nearly 360.31 billion yen.
