It is easier to contain, requiring simpler and more cost-effective retention systems compared to oil, which often needs complex and expensive circulating equipment. Additionally, grease can suspend solid lubricants like graphite or molybdenum disulfide, which are crucial for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Unlike oil, grease ensures these solid lubricants remain suspended, providing consistent lubrication. It also does not require frequent monitoring of fluid levels, further reducing maintenance efforts.
