AA Solar proudly collaborates with MBIE and the Weka Weka Community Trust on the $1.6 million Waimamaku Resilience Programme.

This initiative strengthens the community’s capacity to handle power outages by equipping key civil emergency sites with advanced solar panels and battery storage solutions.

The program also features a portable solar and battery generator (Solarpod) to ensure reliable power and communication support throughout Waimamaku.

Reliable Solar Power Solutions for Waimamaku

The Weka Weka Valley Community Trust in Waimamaku, South Hokianga, has secured $1.3 million in funding to drive economic growth and strengthen energy resilience. They equip local businesses and community facilities with solar power systems.

With this initiative, it not only enhances energy reliability but also reduces reliance on traditional electricity. In addition to that, it safeguards the community against power outages caused by severe weather or emergencies.

With an additional Weka Weka Valley Community trust will contribute $320,000 in co-funding, the Trust is making significant strides in advancing sustainable energy solutions. AA Solar has designed custom solar and battery systems for key community sites, including the Marae, Bar and Grill, Garage, and Resource Centre.
