After 13 months of construction and anticipation, Harrahs Rincon Casino & Resort will hold a special ribbon cutting ceremony in its new hotel lobby on Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. in time for the holiday season and open the doors of a new $168 million expansion.
"This is an important day for us here at Harrah's Lincon," said Janet Veronio, senior vice president and general manager. "After a little over a year of planning and hard work, we are ready to open the door to what we truly feel is the ultimate vacation here in Southern California. You can't imagine how excited we are to unveil all the great things that have been added to Harrah's Lincon and share them with our guests."
Added to the popular casino resort, the 21-story hotel tower brings the total number of hotel rooms to 651. Every room has one or two queen beds, a large luxury bathroom with a separate Roman bathtub and glass-encrusted shower, and other excellent amenities. The entire 21st floor has nothing but a suite, and the entire hotel has a total of 104 suites, including 36 end suites with a private patio and stunning mountain views, 47 two-bay suites, three 3-bay suites, and an ultra-luxury presidential suite.
Another addition is the highly anticipated 7,500-square-foot spa. The spa has 10 treatment rooms and a separate area dedicated to manicures and pedicures. Spa guests can receive the latest massage therapy, hydrotherapy, manicures, pedicures, and facial from head to toe. There are several spa packages for women and men who want the opportunity to enjoy a variety of treatments. And there is also a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with state-of-the-art equipment for those who want to be a little healthier.
The Harrahs Rincon has also transformed the swimming pool area into an oasis of true relaxation. With crystal clear fountains, the two-story pool features a hot and cold pool and is surrounded by lush tropical gardens complete with personal jacuzzi. There are eight private cabanas, filled with the modern amenities of the home. The area is large enough to accommodate additional entertainment, such as weddings, spa treatments, and concerts. The pool area is also the site of Cabana Cove, the latest Harrahs Rincon restaurant. The restaurant has a California beachfront ambience. The food and drink offerings are casual and include items from Mexico, Asia, Hawaii, the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean, and California.
While Harrahs Rincon plans to open these new additions for business on Dec. 20, December will be a soft start. "Harrahs Rincon is planning a retro Vegas celebration throughout the month of January," explains Kathy Swank, manager of promotional and strategy alliances. "During the month of January, we'll be having a special free spa day for Old School Vegas entertainment, charities and civic groups, weekly travel giveaways for other Hara properties, and great headliner Celebrity Gladys Knight, Dooby Brothers and Legends in the Pavilion concerts.
