Crimes related to gaming incidents have increased by more than 34 percent this year, with 679 recorded.
The city has seen a significant increase in cases involving usury and illegal detention. This activity increased from March to June. In the first six months of 2015, the city reported 170 cases of illegal detention, an increase of just over 112 percent year-on-year. Violent crimes based on these incidents increased by 3%.
Despite this increase in activity, Wong said there is still not enough evidence to show that the gaming industry has been negatively affected by security concerns in Macau. Police have cracked down on these activities and most of the victims/suspects are not locals.
The secretary said most of the criminal incidents took place inside the casino. This means that the crimes do not affect the safety of the public outside the place. Wong also pointed out that additional incidents, including violence that are serious or directly affecting public safety, are on the decline. No kidnappings, triad-related crimes or murders were recorded, and the number of criminal groups in the area remained at six. All of these groups were arrested.
Mr Wong said in the report that all security authorities will remain vigilant, will keep a close eye on the situation to avoid any incidents, will also consider the possible impact of these crimes on the casino industry, and will adjust as needed. 에볼루션 바카라사이트
