1. Pro9541

A t-shirt printing machine that is a game changer for your business

Designed to give you a competitive advantage in the garment transfer business this five-channel LED printer is a groundbreaking innovation. It is the first of its kind to offer a fifth spot color in white or clear, which allows you to print on top of any other process colour, adding a white base can help achieve a more solid, opaque look while maintaining a full-colour design on darker materials such as cotton or polyester t-shirts.

It is also a great choice for producing short run packaging, greetings cards, stationary and labels on a variety of material types, including foil, clear or textured. Using LED Toner based technology, it is able to produce a high-quality and durable print with superior resistance to scratching or fading.

The 9541wt [Now branded the "Crio" 9541WTD white toner printer] also eliminates the need for pretreatment, saving you time and money. That's more money you can put back into your business to grow even more.

Only use genuine OKI consumables with this machine to get the best performance and print quality. Non-Original consumables may damage the hardware and invalidate the warranty.

2. C3600n

The C3600n is a solid choice for anyone looking to add a color laser printer to their work arsenal. This network-ready unit offers high-resolution prints at a respectable 16 pages per minute in color and 20 pages in black and white. That speed, coupled with a fast first-color page output of 12 seconds, makes this model an ideal companion for a small office or home office with a moderate amount of print workload.

Unlike inkjet printers, which use liquid ink, laser printers employ powdered color toner to create the prints. As a result, toner cartridges have a much longer shelf life than their inkjet counterparts. The C3600n ships with a standard-capacity black toner that lasts for 1,500 prints and a set of CMYK toners with a capacity of 2,000 prints.

While this printer doesn't offer many fancy extras, it does come with a powerful 400MHz processor and 128MB of expandable memory. That gives it the ability to handle bigger print jobs than some of its competition, especially if you're printing a lot of text documents. It also supports a wide range of paper sizes and types, including card stock, envelopes, and banners. The printer can even print in 3D, a feature that's useful for industrial applications and serial production printing. The C3600n works with the 3DCeram software suite, which provides a host of handy features like quality analysis, automatic repair in one click, translation and rotation, scaling, Z compensation, editing pockets and ribs, duplication, and more.

3. C844dnw

The smallest A3 colour printer on the market, the C844dnw has been hailed as a real game changer for retailers who need to produce high impact in-store signage and personalised communications for their customers. Its superb media handling capabilities - from A6 up to 1.3m banners and paper weights of up to 256gsm - have helped it win the prestigious RetailShow’s Trade Innovation Award.

This ultra-compact LED printer is also easy to use, with a simple six-button keypad and colour LCD display that makes it as intuitive as possible. It’s AirPrint and Google Cloud Print ready, so you can easily print from your smartphone or tablet, while security features like Private Print allow you to insist on a code before prints are released.

Its powerful and reliable print engine produces a maximum of 36ppm for mono and colour printing, with the first page printed in as little as 6.3 seconds. With a print resolution of up to 4,800 x 600 dpi, you can be sure that your output will look stunning with vivid colours and crisp lines.

The C844dnw is an eco-friendly device, with energy-efficient fusing technology and low power consumption when not in operation. It uses just 0.5W for standby and 0.15 W for auto power off mode, so it’s an ideal choice for businesses looking to save energy and cut their carbon footprint. It works efficiently with genuine OKI toner cartridge value packs designed for it, with a maximum high-capacity yield of up to 10,000 pages.

4. C5600n

One of OKI's first colour printers to be capable of printing 12ppm and still be a sensible price (in 2006) the C5600n is well worth consideration for any workgroup looking for a decent bit of kit. The print quality is excellent with a low grain and superb clarity with the toner particles being spherical rather than flat like cheaper models - this reduces the dusting effect so common in laser prints.

It uses a slightly different mechanism to most laser printers by using strips of LEDs to define the image on the photo-conductive drum. This works by passing a pattern of light across the drum and where it sticks (by an electric charge - around -600 volts) is where the toner will be placed. The drum is coated with a greenish photo-conductor which acts as an insulator in the dark but conducts when exposed to light.

Consumables are a little high as it has four separate toner cartridges and drum kits to replace. These clip on top of the image drums and should last for 6,000 pages or 20,000 in black - the transfer belts and fusers are reasonably durable parts too.

The print language is the old Hiper-C but as that has been superseded by CUPS and Apple's own 'foo2hiperc' open software driver it should work with all modern operating systems. It also supports the 'Banner Print' feature which allows it to print in a wide range of formats including those designed for A3 and A5 sheets.
