Everything you learn on a Uke

* The first was a black
Mahalo, that I found on
my birthday in DC...
I gave it to a Minister's son
after I re-strung it Low to High
* The second was a $45 Fender
that I also re-strung.
It was stolen one night in LA.
* The third was a nice cutaway
that my friend Ed Trotta gave
me. It was stolen after a couple
months.
* The fourth was a concert
model, a replacement from Ed.
That one disappeared...
* Ed asked me if I wanted
another one, and I declined
because they keep getting
stolen...

I am a born-again Catholic.
I photographed this cloud
on July 4th in DC, several years ago.
It's not a cloud.
The Lakota Sioux tribes have
a religious history of a female
spirit that first appears to them
as a cloud.
They call her The White Buffalo Calf Woman .
She taught the tribes how to
live in peace with each other.
Like a Guardian Angel.
Or Mother Nature.
Or a Saint.
