Splitting a Book...

Did you ever own a book

that you really wanted to

carry around with you

and read during off time moments...

 

But the darn book is as large

as a 1998 Buffalo phone book,

and weighs several pounds ?

 

I have a book

Godel Escher Bach,

which is 777 pages

long, and sized like

a large Bible .

 

On Thursday, before

I got out of my sleeping bag,

I split and re-bound the book.

 

I glued the scrap manila folder

to the binding, cut it slightly oversized

and folded and glued the opening

edges of the cover.

 

I taped the glued folds down

to hold them in place while

the glued fully dried.

 

I like it.

It fits in my side bag now.

 

College Students could do this

to make their book-load more manageable.
