MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) announced on Monday the acquisition of Push Gaming Holding Limited, a game developer.
Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter, are not disclosed. The deal was the first since Leo Vegas became part of MGM last year. The casino operator paid about $65 million for the purchase of Swedish company LeoVegas and added profitable iGaming company with strong influence in Europe.
With Push Deal, MGM adds an extensive content library, as well as exclusive technologies, intellectual property and development expertise.
According to the buyer's statement, Push Gaming will remain under the same management team as LeoVegas and will continue to develop high-quality games in which more than 100 employees will spread through their platforms and remote gaming servers."
The company has more than 135 employees in five countries.
Deal Fits with MGM’s Bolt-On Plan for BetMGM
MGM expressed readiness for the deal, and as BetMGM approaches profitability, further acquisitions may proceed.
As part of the push deal, the buyer adds companies with more than 30 names, including "Laser Shark", "Wild worm", "Big bamboo", "Zhammin pot", supplying more than 200 operators worldwide. They include 888 casinos, 32 Red, Betsson, Kulvet, Entain and Leo Vegas. He is a partner of BetMGM in MGM.
"Exceptional technologies, intellectual property and professionalism in the development of Push Gaming will enhance LeoVegas' ability to create content and support plans for further growth through expansion," the statement said.
Leo Vegas currently offers bets on iGaming and Sports in Europe, and can be expanded in Japan when MGM moves to Osaka in 2029.
Push Pivots to Online
