"Comet" Hale-Bopp (1995), 60 km in diameter, was already outgassing at the orbit of Uranus.
The blue jet is electrically charged ions.
It had a 3rd Sodium tail, composed of neutral atoms...
Argon, Krypton, and unusual organic
compounds are emitted.
