The anniversary of the invasion of Serekaniyê: "My soul burned a lot"

Since October 4, the fascist Turkish state has once again increased its brutal attacks on Rojava and North and East Syria. Many civilians have been martyred and injured in recent days. Also, the fascist Turkish state attacked civil institutions such as schools, water and oil stations and hospitals. The occupying Turkish state uses Ankara's action as an excuse for its brutal attacks. On October 1, 2023 in Ankara, the day when the Parliament will start working, a dedication event was held in front of the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Interior. The fascist Turkish state, in order to hide the historical action of Ankara from the public, is now attacking Rojava more and more. In order to draw the attention of the Turkish people from the action of Ankara, which showed how weak the Turkish state is, they want to change the agenda of the people.

First of all, the fascist state wants to divert attention from the anniversary of the international conspiracy against the leader of APO with these recent attacks. This year will be the 25th anniversary of the October 9, 1998 conspiracy against Leader Apo and at the same time the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Serekani. On October 9, 2019, the Turkish government attacked Serekaniyeh and Gîre Spî. At the same time, the day of the start of those attacks is the anniversary of the international conspiracy against the APO Leader. The reason for the chosen day to invade Serekani is that the fascist Turkish state is afraid of Leader Apo's ideas of freedom. Because the leader's ideas are the basis of the democratic and peaceful life of Rojava. That is why the Turkish state aims to attack and invade Rojava.

The Turkish state will stop at nothing to achieve these goals. During the attack on Serekani, the fascist Turkish state violated the laws of war and dropped phosphorus and chemical weapons (poison) on the civilian population. One of the victims in Serekani was an 11-year-old boy named Muhammed Hamid. Muhammad, who has now grown up and lives in the Washokani (Hasekê) camp, tells his story of the year 2019 when the Turkish government attacked Serekani with chemical weapons. With his story, he draws attention to the brutal attacks of fascist Turks. Mohammed talks about his feelings on the day of the attack and how he was treated in South Kurdistan. Mohammed also says: "The doctors stated that white phosphorus was used. The doctors told my father at that time that I was not the only victim of chemical weapons. There were many victims due to the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish state. Mohammed finally draws attention to the fascist Turkish state, which is still using chemical weapons against guerrillas, and Mohammed says that this is unacceptable.
