Amoeba Records to carry Sorrow DVDs in store

When writer and director Millie Loredo found funding for production of her directorial debut, Sorrow, she was able to film and produce the project. However, when it was finished and ready for viewing, one of the most difficult obstacles presented itself: finding distribution.

After signing a distribution agreement with BrinkVision in December 2014, they attained distribution not only online but also in select retail stores across the country. Amoeba Music, “the world’s largest independent record store” in Los Angeles, California, will carry copies of indie horror film Sorrow on DVD in store beginning Tuesday, April 21.

BrinkVision also acquired online streaming distribution of the indie horror film but on top of distribution of DVD and Blu-Ray copies of Sorrow in select retail stores, including Barnes & Noble and Target.

Amoeba Music sells CDs, vinyl and DVDs and will carry DVD copies of Sorrow once it premieres at River Oaks Theatre in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, April 21.

DVD copies of Sorrow are now available for pre-order online through Barnes & Noble and Target online for $14.95. Thanks to BrinkVision, Sorrow will premiere on Amazon Instant Video on Tuesday, April 21, and Hulu Network will begin streaming the film mid-May. Loredo is grateful to BrinkVision for finding her alternate forms of distribution.

Additionally, she will be taking the film on a screening tour in select theaters in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and two different theaters in New York. The film will premiere at River Oaks Theatre in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, April 21, and Loredo will travel to the other three states in the five days that follow.
