The 3 fires currently raging 

in Southern California 9/12/24

are:

 

The Bridge Fire: 50,000 Acres

0% Contained.

 

The Line Fire: 17,000 Acres

 

The Airport Fires: 23,000 Acres

 

Current Total: 100,000 Acres

 

15 full-time Car-Years per Acre

= 1,650,000 Car Years.

 

Americans don't drive continuously...

They drive 1/30th of a year, per year.

 

California has 14,268,528

registered vehicles.

 

1,650,000 * 30 = 49,500,000 driver years.

 

 49,500,000 ÷ 14,268,528 = 3.469 years.

 

In ONE WEEK these fires have produced 

the C02 equivalent

that

ALL THE CARS IN CALIFORNIA

produce in 3.469 years .

 

Over THREE TIMES the pollution

that ALL the 14 million cars

produce annually.

 

Fires are FAR WORSE than CARS.
