The plant came into existence to convert large quantities of paddy straw into renewable energy. The Punjab government's strategy to tackle air pollution by banning stubble burning has shown some light with the commissioning of Asia's largest compressed biogas plant. The plant created a record for highest compressed biogas production per day and necessary measures will be taken as far as biogas storage is concerned.
