Delhi Capitals somehow manage to drag themselves to their first win of IPL season 2023 by beating Kolkata Night Riders by 4 wickets. The relief that was present on the face of Axar Patel after hitting the winning runs, the long hug that Ricky Ponting gave to captain David Warner, and the amazing comments of director of cricket Saurav Ganguly were proof of how happy everyone is in the camp of the Delhi Capitals.
Saurav Ganguly even compares the first when of Delhi with his first test run scored in England in the year 1996. He said, "Happy to get off the mark." I was sitting there in the dugout and thinking it was like getting my first test run 25 years ago. "We were on the luckier side today."
He further said that "we bowled well before and well this season." But the problem is the batting. We need to go back and look at ourselves and see how we can get better. Spinners bowled well.
