The vast cyberspace network presents significant threats to the security of personal computers: WAN and LAN networks and wireless internet networks. Trained computer networking experts in cyber security are required to secure networks and computed systems for efficient data storage and retrieval. Just as importantly, they are required to guarantee the privacy and integrity of personal and corporate identities. These experts can find work in private firms, in consulting, or at the state and federal government levels.
