The CPA Certification Exam is a four-part test that is required to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States. The exam is administered by the Ame

rican Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is offered on a rolling basis throughout the year.

To pass the CPA Exam, candidates must score at least a 75 on each of the four sections:

    • Auditing and Attestation (AUD): This section covers the principles and procedures of auditing, as well as the ethical and professional standards that CPAs must follow.
    • Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR): This section covers the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) that are used to prepare financial statements.
    • Regulation (REG): This section covers the federal and state tax laws that apply to businesses and individuals.

    • Business Environment and Concepts (BEC): This section covers the economic, business, and financial concepts that are essential for CPAs to know.

Each section of the CPA Exam is four hours long and is administered in a computer-based format. The exam includes multiple-choice questions, simulations, and written communication tasks.
