Santoro's journey into the world of pro wrestling began with a childhood fascination that burned brightly from an early age. Born in Ontario Canada on a cold December night, Elijah was drawn to the world of wrestling from the moment he first glimpsed it on television. His parents didn't understand his obsession, but to him, wrestling was more than just entertainment; it was a calling. By the time he was 7, Elijah was already an avid fan, eagerly watching every match and absorbing every storyline.
As a teenager, he worked day by day, crafting his skills, and by the age of 18, made his debut on the indie wrestling circuit under the ring name "Dacre Santoro." He fought in small venues, earning his stripes, and slowly building a reputation as a promising young talent. His journey led him to NXT, where he competed as "Rebel Heart" Dacre Santoro. With this, his career would skyrocket over the years, with his accomplishments including defeating Adam Cole for the NXT championship, becoming North American Champion 3 times, and NXT Tag Team champ once. After some time of soaring through the competition, his destiny beckoned him to the main roster for a chance at new opportunities. However, his time here didn't go as he had hoped. Despite his talent and dedication, he felt underutilized and overlooked, so, at the age of 24, he made the difficult decision to leave the company.
Seeking new opportunities and fresh challenges, Elijah's friends advised him to consider joining All Elite Wrestling. It was there that he found a home, soon enough being brought in by the House of Black, drawn into their enigmatic world of darkness and intrigue. As a member of the group, Dacre Santoro embraced a new chapter in his career, where his rebellious spirit and cunning tactics would find a new purpose alongside his fellow shadows. Now, Santoro stands on the precipice of greatness in AEW, ready to leave his mark on the wrestling world as a vital member of the HOB. The journey from a childhood dreamer to a member of this mysterious faction is what truly defined the "Midnight Runaway".
