Women's Maternal Care Initiative - Gaza

Thank you for your interest and generous efforts into making this initiative happen.
We, Fidaa and Dalia, are two Palestinian women in the diaspora with our families in the Gaza Strip.
Through this network, we are looking to secure a safe house for pregnant displaced women in Rafah to labor and deliver in peace and dignity as all main hospitals are at capacity and functional only for emergencies due to relentless Israeli bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Additionally, we are hoping to connect these women to this network of female doctors so that they may receive basic care and prenatal appointments from a distance. Currently, uncomplicated births are being delivered in makeshift tents and unsanitary crowded schools that serve as a refuge for the displaced.
These women have no access to their OB/GYNs or primary care physicians, and there are reports of women who miscarried due to lack of prenatal care. The average school houses 3,000 families with access to no more than 5 bathrooms, and no access to any running water, towels or sanitary pads.
All information collected here is confidential and will not be shared with any individual or organization. This is an entirely grassroots effort on our behalf, directly through our trusted contacts in Gaza on the ground. We are grateful for your essential skills that we know will make a massive difference to women who have nowhere to turn during what should be the most special time of their lives.
