Caesars Virginia LLC received approval from the Virginia Lottery Board for the upcoming Caesars Virginia Casino on April 26, 2023. The vote also paved the way for the opening of a temporary casino in mid-May. The permanent casino, scheduled to open in late 2024, will be Virginia's third casino. Caesars expects to invest more than $650 million in entertainment complex. The company's temporary casino in Danville, Virginia, where future permanent casinos will be located, is expected to begin operations on May 15.
