24:21 "Arjun, the soul is not a Child of God in the manner as in the world from a father and a mother a child is born, then the soul is a fragment (ansh) of God. Because the soul is a fragment of God, it is considered child of God."
For example, you could consider the earth a child of the sun, or a rock a child of the mountain, or waves in the ocean, which pretend to be individual and separate but once settled down and calm they go back into being the ocean however they were never separate at any time.
So in the same way, the soul is a fragment of God.
