StreamSnipper is a browser extension that allows users to crop video content and display it in a floating Picture-in-Picture window.

**We collect NO personal data.** StreamSnipper operates entirely locally on your device.
## What We Access
- **Active Tab**: Only when you click the extension icon to identify video content
- **Video Content**: Temporarily processes selected video areas to create the floating window
- **Screen Capture**: Uses browser APIs to capture your selected video region
## What We Don't Do
- ❌ Store any personal information
- ❌ Track your browsing history
- ❌ Send data to external servers
- ❌ Use analytics or tracking tools
- ❌ Access your files or downloads
- ❌ Monitor your activity outside the extension
## How It Works
1. You click the extension and select a video area
2. The extension captures only the selected region
3. Creates a local floating window on your device
4. All processing happens locally - nothing leaves your computer
## Permissions Explained
- **activeTab**: To detect video content on the current page
- **scripting**: To inject the selection interface
- **desktopCapture**: To capture the selected video area
