Hey everyone. How you doing? It’s Darren here with Big Buck Home Buyers and I wanted to take you on a little tour of our latest project here. We are all finished finally. It’s hot today, man, but I’m glad that we’ve got this done. On the left here, you’ll see that that is the main house of this project that we finished a couple months ago, turned out great. So the last couple months we’ve been focusing on this casita here, which has been an interesting project.
So this was originally three separate buildings ranging from approximately 1935, where you see the AC all the way to 1985, where you see this window on the left hand side. So the buildings were always joined. This was a suite when we took over, but it just needed some work. It needed some updates, some cosmetic fixes and all that, and also some landscaping. As you can see, we cleaned up the outside here quite a bit.
But we really just brought it up to current day standards, made it much more comfortable and gave it a good finish. So let’s walk through this nice bright yellow door and you can take a look. So we open up into a hallway here and you can see we’ve got nice new floors, walls are all painted. Doors are painted. We come in here, this will be the bedroom. So we updated the electrical in here, put a new ceiling fan and all that. New AC, finished up the closet, which is nice. Carried the floors throughout.
Then if we walk through here, we come down into the kitchen and this area really was kind of a mess before. We really couldn’t do much with it. So we had to push up the ceiling a little bit and make it actually usable. So now, as you can see, we’ve got a nice little kitchen here, nice and spacious. This is just a one one and this is a plenty large for a one bedroom kitchen, but appliances are all new, cabinets are all new, which is great.
Coming into the bathroom off the kitchen we’ll see we have a nice new vanity, toilet, shower’s there as well. Again, we carried the floors throughout here with the vinyl plank. Off the kitchen we have the living area. So nice large room here. This is the older part of the building and so it was in pretty good shape. We just had to do some drywalling in here and clean it up a little bit, but it looks pretty good and that’s it.
So hope you’ve enjoyed this. This was kind of a labor of love honestly. We really enjoyed this project, bringing this to where it is today, which has been awesome. This was a property that came to us from a nice homeowner who just really needed to sell her house. The house needed some updates and so we were able to buy it quickly. We bought the house with cash and we closed quickly on her timeline, which we always do our best to do. She was able to get what she wanted and we ended up with a beautiful property. So we’re very happy. She’s very happy and now our tenants are going to be happy as well.
