Utah teachers union demands that Gov. Gary Herbert move junior high and high schools online while COVID-19 cases break records
The call from the Utah Education Association on Friday came on a record day for virus cases both across the state and in schools. For K-12 classrooms, in particular, there were 281 new positive cases, the highest ever single-day jump. Read more here

Gary Herbert that the junior and high school classes be moved online because the cases of Covid -19 breaks the high record. There's a high record of new covid-19 cases, so staying online would protect students' best interests and teachers' safety. The record shows in K -12 classroom that there are 281 new cases of covid-19, which is the highest in a day. According to Heidi Matthews, president of the association, the community is not changing enough to drive the virus down, so there's a need to protect the educators and the kids' safety.
