But if you want to get to the closest airport, it would be better to go with Dabolim airport which is just 5 km away. A quick 10-minute drive will help you reach Baina Beach in Vasco, which is the starting point for most boat trips to Grand Island.
- By Train: You can board a train from the Vasco da Gama railway station, situated about 5 km from Baina Beach, where you can catch a boat to the island.
- By Bus: You can also choose to travel by bus from Vasco KTC bus stand, situated just 15 minutes away from Baina Beach. However, if you can find a bus that goes directly to the Baina bus stand, you can reach it within 10 minutes, covering a distance of 3 km.
