(near) Public Domain Music...

Re: Christmas in our Times
Above, you see a gif
I built at Starbucks
while my $3.25 coffee
got cold...
It starts with a
Fingerprint image
that I discovered...
and follows to a
Cloud image that
I found on Sunday.
Then, to my second
Hot-Dog box glider,
and to some
Fine Christmas Music
Selections...
Why Public Domain Music ?
Consider ...
Freedom of Speech.
Virtually ALL the
Classical music
that Global Symphony
Orchestras perform,
and RECORD...
Is Public Domain Music,
Composed hundreds of
years ago.
The lack of
modern copyright restriction
allows artists to
Study, learn, and perform
fine music
free of charge.
YouTube is a near-public-domain
Venue.
Experienced Musical artists,
like Bob Dylan,
and The Rolling Stones
release OFFICIAL VERSIONS
of their music,
Like a free concert.
It's a Public Benefit !
You are not forced to
listen to the meager selections
of radio, or cable TV,
You can hear and see
Fine artists playing
Fine Music.
In the '60s,
Firestone Tires
made a Christmas Album
available for 99 cents,
or free with purchase.
These were EXCELLENT
collections of TOP ARTISTS...
The Artists benefited from
the exposure ...
Firestone benefited from
the holiday customer flow...
Families and young
musicians benefited from
the example of the
Finest musical expression...
In the Land of the Free
America !
Chuck
PS:
Christmas Album Suggestion:
In my humble opinion,
there is no better example
of musical excellence
Than the youthful
Electric Bass virtuoso
Charles Berthoud.
Charles should note
that a rite of passage
into musical immortality
is a Christmas Album.
Bing Crosby did it.
Frank Sinatra did it.
Dean Martin did it.
Herb Alpert did it.
Vince Guaraldi did it.
David Grisman did it.
Kenny G did it.
Mariah Carey did it.
Amy Grant did it.
And...
Bach did it.
So.
Make a Good one, Charles !
The key is
Sensitivity of Selection,
Holiday Feeling,
and lack of
crass commercialism.
You might find
a Vinyl Record Label
like Windham Hill
or Flying Fish
that would be
Eager
to publish
such a work.
A Win-Win
Christmas Event !
