Many think water takes the path of least resistance although water stores vast electrical memory and chooses it's own path as positive thoughts directed at water have been scientifically shown to change it's structure to more pure form that means water flows and rains where it has had a positive time and the desert is where water has had negative experiences and it really is that simple.
I learnt from this YouTube documentary below that north africa turned into a desert because of overgrazing of livestock and burning of tree's for farming purposes and it makes sense as northern asia is slowly turning into a desert due to overgrazing livestock because the soil substrate holds moisture where tree's and forests actually contains it's own humid climate due to transpiration and because precipitation causes rain you'll know why it rains so much in the amazon because the climate and the ecosystem is all interconnected.

A plant does not use most of the water that it absorbs. About 97-99% of the water is lost through transpiration. Also tree's absorb carbon emissions that helps with the fight against climate change and most importantly to strethen the ozone layer as oxygen radiated with harmful ultraviolet sun ray's produces the ozone molecule (O3) therefore the more oxygen sequestered from tree's in the atmosphere the more ozone layer that is formed to protect against global warming.

Also that is why christians use blessed holy water because for thousands of years they understood the effect positive thought had on water even before they had solid scientific proof.
