Hwimungo advanced to the final by winning 66-55 against Hongik University High School in the semifinals of the 45th Seoul Mayor's Cup Men's and Women's Basketball Competition and the 105th National Sports Festival held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul on the 21st.  토토사이트

It was an extraordinary event. Hongik University was named the winner of the association's long-term competition in April and a strong contender for the title along with Kyungbok University, as it recently advanced to the finals of the second consecutive competition hosted by the Korea Federation of Middle and High School. The team even followed the luck of the match, which made it worth seeking to participate in the National Sports Festival for the first time in five years since 2019.

The team that destroyed the dream of Hongik University high school was Hwimungo. Hwimungo was not wide apart in the first half, but it was catching up with the flow of Hongik University high school high school high school. However, Hwimungo dominated the right to offer in the second half, and Kim Beom-chan (188 centimeters, G, F), who had only two points in the first half, displayed concentration to score 16 points in the second half, resulting in a come-from-behind victory.

In the meantime, Junsung Park, a sophomore, was fiercely competing with 20 points, 21 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. He scored in the right place in the attack, and played an excellent role as a rim protector by focusing on rebounding and block shots in defense.

"First of all, it's nice to be closer to making it to the National Sports Festival (with today's victory)," he said after the interview. When asked if it was difficult to play full time with a small number of players available, he said, "It's not difficult. My body is adapting. I have to endure physically for my team to have an easier game."

Ahead of the match, Hwimungo appeared to have prepared a lot in defense. It is evidence that the opponent team scored around 50. Among them, Junsung Park's presence shone particularly in defense. By accurately positioning the team, it had the upper hand in the rebound contest with the opponent team, and dominated the inside by blocking Hong Kongo's attack attempts several times in the paint zone.

"The overall teamwork of the team was so good. I also tried to focus on defense and rebound before entering the game. In offense, I focused on increasing my concentration so as not to miss easy shots and scores that I received," Junsung Park said.

He also had a great chemistry with Lee Je-won (196 cm, G, F), the ace player at Hwimungo. They enjoyed the game by making alley-oop whenever they had time.

"Yesterday, (Lee) and I played alley-oop at the halfway line for fun while practicing, and we hit it off pretty well, so I tried it in actual matches as well. There was also an aspect to attack the opponent team's regional defense," he said.

▲ Junsung Park, who has drawn attention since his youth basketball club days in Wonju DB with his appearance that looks exactly like Oh Se-geun (SK). He said he didn't even know the "n" in basketball at the time, and he has grown into a pillar under the basketball court.

Hwimungo, which is one step closer to advancing to the National Sports Festival, will play its last game against Yongsan High School at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Hwimungo's most recent participation in the National Sports Festival dates back to 2004, exactly 20 years ago.

Finally, he summarized the interview by mentioning Eddie Daniel of Yongsan High School, showing his desire to advance to the National Sports Festival.

"Now that I've come this far, I really want to get a berth to the National Sports Festival," Junsung Park said. "When I saw him at Kyungbok High School and the semifinals, he was so good. He's in the same grade but has a lot to learn from. Especially, he has really good shoulder push strength. I'm not sure if he'll match up with Daniel, but I want to compete in good faith."
