Def Leppard’s legendary drummer broke his silence over an event that occurred two months before. Rick Allen on the attack in Florida described the incident as disturbing but also urged well-wishers to maintain their composure.

Two months after being attacked in Florida, Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen discussed the situation and compared it to the terrible catastrophe that left him with no left arm when he was 21 years old in the 1980s.

Rick Allen claimed he was accosted outside a Florida hotel after a concert earlier this year.

The 59-year-old drummer for Def Leppard said in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, “I heard a couple of steps, then I just saw this (flash), and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground.”

“I landed on my backside and my head hit the pavement.” Rick Allen commented on the attack in Florida.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Fort Lauderdale is where Def Leppard was due to perform on March 13. According to Allen’s report on the Florida attack, he was attacked while smoking outside the hotel on that day.
