Clubfoot Treatment for Babies is one of the most common birth defects, affecting one in every 1,000 babies born in the United States. Clubfoot is a deformity of the feet that causes them to turn inward and point downward. While it can affect one or both feet, it is usually seen in both feet. The condition can cause pain, limited mobility, and difficulty walking.

Casting is a common form of treatment for clubfoot in babies. It involves wrapping the foot and ankle in a cast to help hold it in the correct position. The cast is typically changed every two weeks for the first three months of treatment, and then every four weeks until the foot stops changing shape.

Treatment should be started in the first week or two of life in order to take advantage of the favorable elasticity of the tissues forming the ligaments, joint capsules and tendons. With our treatment these structures are stretched with weekly, gentle manipulations.
