IBK Business Bank recorded its first win of the season with a come-from-behind 3-2 (22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-13) victory over Korea Expressway Corporation in the first round of the 2023-2024 Dodram V League Women's Division at Gimcheon Indoor Gymnasium on April 28.

In the match, IBK's Hwang Min-kyung, Koo Hye-in, and Choi Jung-min were seen in tears after the victory.

The fourth set was also tight. At 11-11, Pyo Seung-ju scored back-to-back points to take the lead.

However, it was tied again at 15-15. Back-to-back points by Bae Yuna and Vukiric gave DOT the lead at 18-17.

However, IBK's Abecrombie took the lead again with back-to-back points, and the match headed to the fifth set with Vukiric's serve error and Abecrombie's back-to-back points.

In the fifth set, with the score at 10-8, Roadworks showed some late-game grit, scoring four straight points to set the tone for IBK. Then, on set point, Pyo Seung-joo's final point secured the victory for the 'defending champions'.
