D’Art is a retail design & consulting agency established in India in 2016 by three friends from disparate professional backgrounds. D’Art has leaped onto many continents beyond India and operates from offices primarily in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Dubai, and the US. With years spent in the design industry building pioneering strategies for illustrious clients and brands, D’Art has carved a name with thought leaders; Syed Shahnawaz Zaidi, Sameer Khosla & Deepak Kumar, greasing the wheels of a chariot with 200+ creative and technical artisans spread across regions.

 

History

The year 2016 saw the beginning of D’Art inside a small office space in Delhi when three friends with divergent experiences in the world of brands came together to weave the reality of their dreams. Each understood three distinct sides of retail. Shahnawaz, the Marketing domain; Sameer, the Design Strategy & Deepak, the Operation. Amalgamating this expertise turned D’Art into a multi-faceted retail design firm approaching the market like wildfire with its end-to-end retail solution.

 

The first year went by hither and tither as D’Art set out to shape its portfolio, looking to collaborate with entities that form the agency’s foundation. The incoming of projects was sporadic but meaningful. The ensuing years witnessed the ingress of mentor-like clients, who took D’Art to the frontline, keeping one foot in the door to the 100 Million Club.

 

As the years went by, the portfolio grew by a sizeable amount and exquisite quality, stretching the office space to a threefold size with more creative heads gearing the forthcoming innovation, changing the face of D’Art in the market. The victory seemed more striking when D’Art had the golden moment of getting hold of the prestigious Design Award in just four years of operation.

 

From big FMCG brands to designer apparel stores and Fuel Stations, it was all collectively that led D’Art to become brand consultants, broadcasters, designers, and digital spearheads. After adding the solitaire of making it to the 100 Million turnover mark, the next step was taking the giant leap and foray into the APAC region & beyond.

 

Principles

D’Art’s sprinting success resulted from its core principle of ‘Change.’ As designers of the built environment, connecting people to artificial interfaces crafted upon natural surroundings, D’Art has always envisioned working on projects that somehow repudiate the old fundamentals and modify the purpose of design. Every implementation succeeded by capturing the essence of designs and reimagining how retail outlets should exist. And pandemic successfully corroborated this endeavor.

 

D’Art has been bridging the gap between design & manufacturing, where designing dreams is just one part of the puzzle; shaping the dream in its actual form differentiates the caliber of D’Art as a retail design firm. From conceptualizing the space’s Interior to transforming it into a 360-degree branding entity, D’Art became the absolute partner for the biggest of clients in different industries. D’Art has transpired as the affordable luxury where ‘Conception to Completion’ fits right to realize a visualized design.

 

Projects

As an experiential design firm, D’Art has a whole trunk full of design projects, exhibitions, and more which diversifies the design thinking of the firm.

  • An Experience centre Design for Hitachi with the core motive of “Live Product Experience in a Live Environment,” where the designs were focused on turning the products into self-demonstrating elements in a setup similar to home.
  • A retail store design for Top Brass where the premiumness of the men’s clothing line was highlighted through specific categories and a theme that aligns with the brand.
  • A display table in the Adidas Outlet aiming at their footwear line with the theme ‘Feel the Boost.’ The design enabled the brand to see through the brand activations.
  • A complete delivery of Interior for the women’s apparel brand, Latin Quarters, giving a clean look with precision to designs and excellence in execution & fabrication.
  • Conceptualizing and deploying the designs for The Addams House with the theme renowned through the characters of the Addams Family.

 

The count of projects has been extended, thoughtful, and glorious, with the number only increasing.
