Abreu Appeals for Disciplinary Action

Houston Astros right-hander Brian Abreu, who was disciplined by the Major League Baseball Secretariat, appealed.

The Major League Baseball secretariat officially announced on the 23rd that Abreu has appealed the disciplinary action ahead of Game 6 of the American League Championship Series between Houston and the Texas Rangers.

Abreu reportedly delivered his appeal at a meeting where the two clubs and representatives of labor and management of the Major League gathered.

Earlier, Abreu was suspended for two games by the Major League Baseball secretariat. In Game 5 of the series, the problem was that he threw a threat ball to the opponent, Adolis Garcier, and hit his arm.

Garcia, who was hit by a walk at the time, rushed to Houston catcher Martin Maldonado, causing a bench-clearing.

The judges recognized Abreu's intention and ordered him to leave. The secretariat also took disciplinary action in recognition of its intention.

He will be able to take the mound in Game 6, which will be held on this day, after officially appealing the disciplinary action.

The Major League Baseball secretariat said the appeal hearing will take place within 48 hours.

The hearing may proceed as early as a day later, but there is a possibility that it may not be concluded here.

In fact, the possibility that disciplinary action will not be applied in this series has increased.

If Houston advances to the World Series, the disciplinary action will likely be applied in the World Series, and if it falls out of the series, the disciplinary action will move to the 2024.

We don't know what the final conclusion will be, but it's a boon for Houston. Abreu has allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings in seven postseason games. Except for the fourth game, this series was played in all games. Recorded hold twice. 스포츠토토
