Book Trip to Sunrise Treks in Bangalore

If you want to witness the sunrise from the peak of Skandagiri, you should start your trek early in the morning. This is one of the rare treks in the state. It is also the perfect one for beginners.

The Skandagiri trek is an excellent opportunity to explore the beauty of the Nandi Hills. The Skandagiri hill is located at an altitude of 1350 meters. There is a ruined fort at the top of the hill. This fortress was built by Tipu Sultan. However, the fortress was abandoned when the Anglo-Mysore War ended. Over time, the beauty of the fort has increased.

The Skandagiri hill is a popular trekking destination near Bangalore. Skandagiri is well connected to the city by road and can be reached in just 50 minutes. Trekkers who prefer to camp can stay overnight at the summit campsites.

To reach the Skandagiri hill, you can book a package with a trekking company. Some tour operators offer packages that include a night's stay at the summit campsite. Most of these companies charge around Rs. 450 for a trek.

You can also hire a private driver. Alternatively, you can opt to travel by bus. A KSRTC bus from Bangalore to Chikballapur will cost around Rs. 350, while a self-drive cab will set you back by about Rs. 5600 for the return trip.

During the trek, you will have to keep a distance of 5 feet from the path. Besides, you will have to avoid slippery rocks and uneven mud sections. In some places, the trail can be very steep. You should always wear gloves and face masks to protect yourself from insects.

During the night, you can enjoy the sight of million stars twinkling above the night sky. You can even combine your Skandagiri trek with a visit to the nearby Harihara Betta. Both these treks can be done in four to five hours.

The best time to visit the Skandagiri Hill is between November and January. If you wish to see the sunrise, you should start your trek at 4 AM. As a rule, the sunrise at the Bangalore hills is at around 6:15 AM.

While on your Skandagiri trek, you will encounter a variety of flora and fauna. Depending on your time and energy, you may be able to see some of the wildlife that inhabits the area.

If you have any concerns about your safety, you can request a tour guide. Tour guides provide a personal touch and provide you with all the necessary information. They are available at the base point to ensure that your safety is taken care of.

Before you go on a trek, make sure you are physically fit. Ideally, you should be able to run at least 5 km in 45 minutes. Also, you should maintain a healthy diet. Keep yourself hydrated and carry a good supply of water.

Those who are sedentary should gradually increase their pace by running at least five kilometers four times a week. During the trek, you will be asked to wear gloves, face masks and carry hand sanitizer. Moreover, you should carry a medical kit.
