Very rough desert boss idea:

Pharasphez: The Nonexistent Pharaoh

Health: Normal/35666 Expert/57666 Master/79666

Premise:

The boss is based around hallucinations.

It has four phaes, the hallucinations become more severe and bizzare with each phase. The first two phases act as gauntlets of hallucinations... And the last two phases pits you against Pharasphez itself... When the third phase begins all tiles become white and the background becomes white, you have now entered The Nonexistent Kingdom... And then Pharasphez appears out of nowhere... Pharasphez himself uses illusions and hallucinations to attack the player...

The idea is that the first two phases act as a descent into madness... Slowly but surely you lose your sanity... And you begin to descend into nothingness...

The last two phases are set in a featureless and blank parallel dimension called "The Nonexistent Kingdom", where Pharasphez rules...

Side note: The Nonexistent Kingdom looks exactly like the player's world, but everything is white and blank... Except for the player and Pharasphez, though.

First phase:

Tiles and entities begin to switch colors with 3 second intervals, making it hard to see. During this illusory paint buckets spawn, these enemies artack by shooting paint brushes at the player, dealing 44/55/66 damge each. The paint buckets have 50/150/200 health each. 10/15/20 paint buckets spawn when the hallucination begins. The hallucination ends when all the paint buckets are gone.

Illusory tiles spawn and begin to fly towards the player, the tiles deal 66/77/88 damage each. The tiles get destroyed when hitting the player. The tiles have 100/200/300 health each. 15/20/30 tiles spawn when the hallucination begins. The hallucination ends when all the tiles are gone.

A thick fog fills the screen, making it hard to see. During this a dark version of the player begins to chase the player, this entity cannot be killed. The hallucination ends after 20 seconds, and the entity dissappears too.

A storm of illusory scorpions begin to rain from the sky, exploding on contact with the player (or the ground) and dealing 100/150/200 damage each. The hallucination ends after 15 seconds.

The phase ends after all hallucinations have ended...
