Alberta has reported that for the first time since October 2019, the Lotto 6/49 jackpot was won by a provincial. The Western Canadian Lottery Company announced on its official platform on Sunday that it had won a jackpot of $18 million from the game. The winning ticket is only won in your country, so the winner does not share the main prize.
The Crown Corporation did not provide additional details about the winners because their names were not currently known, but advised all Lotto 6/49 to check their tickets and contact their agency about receiving the prize. The six lucky numbers in Saturday's draw are 4, 5, 18, 28, 35, and 42. This combination just secured CA$18,680,003.80 for ticket holders in Alberta.
The province's largest single lottery win to date remains under the name of Ty Trin from Calgary, who won a CA$65 million jackpot at the Lotto Max game in October 2019. And in March 2020, Elk Point's Alan Connor received significant prize money from the national lottery, with ticket holders winning CA$5 million in the lottery of 6/49.
