Recent years have seen a rise in interest in green construction. Businesses are beginning to recognize the sustainable trend as more and more people seek to construct ecologically friendly homes.

By taking into account all facets of the life cycle of project from beginning to end and using "green" design principles, the "green" building method tries to lessen the environmental impact of buildings. Green building design aims to produce contemporary eco-friendly home layouts with wholesome indoor conditions for occupants while limiting the use of non-renewable resources and damaging emissions throughout the structure's lifetime.

The principles of green building can be used at all scales, from a single structure to entire towns or neighbourhoods. When a building is designed, built, and operated in a way that:

  • Minimizes negative environmental impact;
  • Improves occupant health;
  • Uses resources wisely;
  • Offers favorable indoor environmental quality;
  • Is long-lasting, cozy, and secure.

Why is green building technology needed?

Environmentalists and governments worldwide are becoming increasingly concerned about the rising quantities of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. Higher CO2 levels due to fossil fuels like coal and oil have led to global warming, which could have disastrous effects on the planet. Governments have begun passing legislation to make buildings more ecologically friendly by consuming less energy through better efficiency and using renewable energy sources to lower CO2 emissions. Even now-existing structures will eventually be compelled by these laws to increase efficiency. As a result, there is now a market for green buildings because there is a desire for environmentally beneficial structures.

Natural occurrence (or "Zero") net buildings, Energy Star buildings, and LEED-certified buildings make up the USGBC's three categories for green construction. Active and passive green buildings are also available. Buildings that are "actively green" use technology to keep the heat inside while lowering their carbon footprint. The environmentally friendly structure in passive green buildings is made to benefit from weather patterns like wind, rain, and sun. Other buildings that use renewable energy sources, such as solar cells, wind turbines, and geothermal energy, are Blue Buildings or Zero Energy Buildings.

Green Building Certification and Design

Agile Advisors offer assistance services for projects that need to be certified under rating systems like IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, ECBC, WELL, and EDGE. One of the various ways to show and assess the work put into projects is certification. Our strategy is to assist project teams in designing eco-friendly structures to cut costs and give building occupants hygienic.

Certification is merely a byproduct. While our method confirms that the design of the building and construction adheres to the necessary environmental regulations and best practices.
