Both Kohli and Gambhir have made headlines for all the wrong reasons for reigniting their decade-old rivalry in the world's richest T20 league as they were involved in arguments with each other in the match between the Lucknow Super giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. While talking about this verbal spat involving the two icons, former head coach of the Indian Cricket Team Ravi Shastri urged the duo to bury the disdain.
Shastri said, "I think the penny will drop in a day or two and both of them will realise that this could have been handled in a lot better way. Both of them used to play for the same state, and they have played cricket. Gautam is a double World Cup winner, and Virat Kohli is an icon. Both come from Delhi, and I think that the best thing would be to sit them both down and put an end to it. Once and for all.”
