Kumeyay Nation's Shikuan Band announced today that it is temporarily closing its Shikuan Casino Resort to protect the health and safety of its guests and team members. The temporary closure will begin at noon on Friday, March 20, 2020, until at least March 31.
During this period, all Sychuan Team members will continue to receive a salary and full benefit package. For all hotel bookings booked during this period, customers will receive a full refund.
"The health and safety of our guests, team members, and tribal communities will always be our top priority," said Cody J. Martinez, president of the Sikuan Band of the Kumayy Nation. "We believe that this is the best course of action to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus. As a community, we will continue to work together to put everyone's health first.
