After successfully defeating Athena to win the ROH Women's World Championship, Aimee Leota put out an open challenge to anyone in STARDOM or Japan as a whole to fight her for the title at ITTENYON. That challenge was swiftly answered by Sakura Sanada but the day before the match, Kuro Chinmoku injected herself by also accepting the open challenge. To avoid unneeded arguments, Leota just agreed to fight both of them at once in a three way match!
After adhering to the Code of Honor, the bell sounded and all three women circled each other in the ring, gauging who would make the first move between them. A brief look between Aimee and Sakura answered the question, as both turned their attention to the newest addition to the match stereo kicks into Chinmoku’s midsection. A double Irish Whip sent Chinmoku to the far set of ropes, before she delivered a Springboard Crossbody to both women to take them down. Both Sanada and Leota got up to their knees, where Chinmoku sent them back down and out of the ring with a pair of Sliding Knee Strikes.
The two larger competitors supported each other outside of the ring, staying on their feet as Kuro hopped out to the apron, leaping to the middle rope and executing an Asai Moonsault onto her pair of opponents. She grabbed her fellow challenger and tossed Sanada into the ring, getting up on the apron to attempt a Springboard Front Dropkick. She launched toward Sakura but was caught by her feet out of midair. Sakura tried to lift her up but Kuro flipped through to her feet, nailing her with a Step-Up Enzuigiri to the side of her head.
Sakura stumbled as Kuro took off toward the ropes, building up steam before crashing into the 5’6” brick wall when Sanada dropped her with a Shoulder Tackle. Kuro rolled over to her stomach, getting up on her hands and knees while Sakura dropped into a Sliding Basement Dropkick into the side of Chinmoku’s masked face. She went for an early cover, but Kuro got her shoulder up shortly after one.
As Kuro retreated from the ring, Aimee would slide her way in just out of sight of Sanada as she would wait for her to get up to her feet before sending a swift kick into the back of her knee, knocking her down onto only one. Leota would begin to send alternating kicks between Sanada’s upper back and her chest, each one landing one after another, each impact ringing out fairly loudly in the Tokyo Dome City Hall. After one more kick to the chest she would back up before swinging one more kick for her head but of course, Sanada ducked it, putting Leota’s back to her opponent.
She was soon pushed towards the ropes forcing her to rebound off of them and as she came running back towards Sanada she was able to duck a Lariat and fire a kick over the top rope, knocking Chinmoku back down onto the floor before she turned her attention back to Sanada. As the largest woman in the match began to charge toward her, Leota pulled down on the top rope, sending Sanada tumbling over the top rope and out to the floor with Chinmoku.
Leota would clap a few times getting the crowd on her side as she dashed across the ring and hit the ropes building a head of steam before she attempted to dive through the ropes into her opponents. But as she flew through the ropes, she was caught out of the air by the strong Sanada. She held her up, adjusting her position to attempt to slam her but she wasn’t faster than Kuro, who had moved out of the way of the dive to get in the ring herself, and launch through the middle rope with a Suicide Dive of her own that took down both Sanada and Leota! Now with Sakura having caught the worst of the dive and being out of the picture for a moment, Kuro tossed Leota back in the ring and followed in.
As Leota got back up onto her feet, she would make her way over towards the nearest corner, leaning against it as Chinmoku lined her up and would take a run towards her, aiming low to perform a Tiger Feint Kick through the bottom and middle ropes, catching the side of Sanada’s head along the way before bringing both her feet into the back of Leota’s knee, causing her to yelp out in pain and drop down to a seated position as Chinmoku rolled back into the ring, quickly turning on her heel to rush towards the corner and slam a double kneed attack into Leota, trapping her in the corner momentarily.
She would toss Leota out of the corner after a few moments as she stepped out onto the apron and began to size up the champion, while she began to climb up onto her feet and once she was, Kuro stepped on the bottom rope to spring herself up onto the the top, leaping into the ring and this time connecting with the Springboard Front Dropkick she had failed to hit a little earlier. With Leota knocked down again she quickly crawled into a cover! But only scored a two count as Leota was able to power her shoulder off the mat at two!
Kuro got up on her feet after the kick out, picking up Aimee and sending her toward the corner once again. She ran toward her but as she did, Sakura slid into the ring to wrap her arms around the smallest woman’s waist, swiftly connecting with a release German Suplex that launched her toward the opposite corner like a cannonball. Sanada got up on her feet and ran to the corner, hitting a Clothesline into Aimee’s chest as she let her stumble away from the corner. Sakura then ran to the ropes again, picking up steam before connecting with a Single Leg Dropkick, then going for a pin on the champion!
The referee counted to two before Kuro broke it up early, driving her forearms into the spine of the larger competitor. Leota would slowly roll towards the ropes while Sanada and Chinmoku began going back and forth. She watched and waited for one of them to get the upper hand and once they had, Leota smacked some feeling back into her leg and would stand up before rushing over and delivering a Single Leg Dropkick to both of her opponents simultaneously! She would immediately push Chinmoku out of the ring to focus her attention on the larger of the two women.
She would grab a hold of Sanada by her hair and pulled her towards the center of the ring, where she would throw a few forearms into her before she stepped away and ran to hit the ropes, rebounding off to deliver a sliding forearm into Sanada before covering her quick, only scoring a two count before she was very effectively shoved off of her, but Leota would simply chain that into getting an Armbar in on her!
Sakura frantically began to kick her feet, trying to escape the submission. She slid her body toward the ropes but was unable to make it very far, not that it would break the submission anyways in a three way match. Though she did drag Aimee so that her body was facing the corner, which left her prone for Kuro to scale to the top rope and break up the submission the hard way, connecting with a Frog Splash onto both women! Aimee got the worst of it, but Sakura felt her arm snap backward from the impact. She rolled away to the apron, clutching the damaged limb as her opponents began to fight.
Chinmoku dragged Leota onto her feet and would immediately get to work on striking her repeatedly, starting first with a Roundhouse Kick followed closely by a Superkick, then a Spinning Enzuigiri that would turn Leota around. Chinmoku leaned in quickly to grab her arm, ripcording her out into a second Enzuigiri that would this time take Leota off of her feet, letting Chinmoku attempt a pinfall but once more at two, Aimee would get her shoulders off of the mat.
As both Leota and Chinmoku began to get back up onto their feet, their eyes would lock onto Sakura Sanada who had gotten up on the apron, as she rolled through the middle rope and popped up into her signature Rolling Thunder Lariat, aimed at both of her opponents to take them both down. She quickly picked Kuro up after that, hooking her by the arms and dropping her with a Butterfly Suplex directly across Leota’s midsection. Kuro sat up following the landing, and was soon met with a Dropkick to the back of her head while Sakura’s body landed across Aimee with a Senton.
Sakura went into the cover on Aimee, but would be pulled off by Kuro, who went in for a cover of her own. Sanada, almost offended by the action, wrapped her arms around Chinmoku’s waist and connected with a Bridging German Suplex, holding her down for a count of two before Aimee swept out her legs to break up the pin.
Sakura got up on her knees, as did Aimee and soon Kuro had as well. Sakura threw the first forearm into Aimee’s chest, who then fired one into Kuro, who fired one back at Sanada. The three women alternated with forearms, before Leota would climb up onto her feet and get into her personal bread and butter. She began alternating kicks between both women, striking them as hard as she could in the chest with each kick until she swung high and struck Chinmoku right in the face with a kick, then did the same back to Sanada directly after.
Aimee would grab onto Kuro by her mask dragging her onto her feet as she got into position and gave a war cry before she began to get into her Infinite Kick Combo. First a kick would connect right into her stomach causing her to hunch over, then a kick would follow into her chest making her straighten up. This combo would continue for quite some time, the crowd getting louder and louder as Aimee continued to connect kick after kick into Chinmoku. There was no end in sight until Sakura was back on her feet, running toward Aimee and connecting with a Slingblade.
Kuro collapsed onto her knees following the strikes that she was finally given a rest from, but it didn’t last long as Sanada picked Aimee up and slammed her across Kuro’s spine mercilessly. The two women were down, and Sanada decided to go high risk, as she climbed up to the top rope with her back to the two women, setting up for the signature Rounding Body Press she adopted from her father. But as Sanada would set up for the Rounding Body Press, Leota would push herself to her feet using Chinmoku to do so. She would step over her other opponent as she threw an overhand forearm into the back of Sanada stunning her for a moment as Leota began to climb the ropes continuing to put strike after strike into the back of Sanada making sure she wouldn't be doing any sort of Body Press on her watch.
Both Leota and Sanada would begin to battle back and forth while standing on the middle rope trying to knock the other off before they themself would be knocked off. The strikes were getting weaker the longer they went on, neither able to capitalize in the exchange before Kuro Chinmoku quickly hopped up and joined them on the top rope, hooking an arm around both and launching them both back into the ring with a double Avalanche Spanish Fly! She quickly went into the cover on Sakura, hooking her leg but only getting a two count. She immediately dove onto Aimee right after to try again, but would once more only score a two count as the champion kicked out as well.
Chinmoku slammed her fists into the mat for a few moments before she stood up and began to kick Sanada away to make room as she dragged Leota into position. As she got Leota in a position close to the corner, she would step on her midsection to get over her. Once in the corner, she would bounce off the bottom rope up to the top, similarly to her idol before she slowly stood to her full height while balanced on the top rope, then leaped backwards, flying through the air and landing on Leota with a Moonstomp! But as she did so and she bounced off of Leota’s midsection, when she expected to land back on the mat she was instead caught in the small bit of air time she had by Sanada, who trapped her arms and threw her back for a huge Dragon Suplex, bridging into a pin attempt!
As the referee dropped to the mat to count, he would only get to two before Leota got back into the action as she lifted Sanadas legs off of the mat and bent them back, flipping forward over them and having both women covered in a Flip Jackknife Cover! The referee counted one! two! But both of her opponents would get their shoulders off the mat before three!
Sakura was the first up to her feet after the kickout, as she rushed toward Aimee and was met with a Rolling Wheel Kick from the champion! Sakura wasn’t taken off of her feet just yet, prompting Aimee to bounce off of the nearest set of ropes and aim for a forearm to the back of her challenger’s head. Sakura was just narrowly able to duck, and Aimee stood back up and turned around straight into a Lariat that turned her inside out! Sakura shouted to rile up the audience, soon hooking Leota’s arms from behind and lifting her up to her feet.
She attempted to lift her for the Cherry Blossom Driver, only for Aimee to see Kuro approaching while Sanada was in the blindspot behind the champion. Aimee ducked out of the way just in time as Kuro spat a mouthful of purple mist, missing the champion and blinding the other challenger in the process. Sakura screamed in pain, covering her face as Chinmoku panicked for a brief moment, but it was long enough for Aimee to capitalize as she would push Kuro back and slam her skull right into Sakura’s, putting her on her back! NEVER HEADBUTT A SAMOAN!!
She would turn her attention back to Kuro as she dashed towards her for another big head kick against the ropes. She pulled her away and back to the center of the ring, where she would knee her in the gut before pulling her head between her legs and crossing Kuro’s arms over her own chest. She lifted her up onto one of her shoulders while having a hold of each of her hands and Aimee would swing her forward, causing her body to flip around right into a Kamigoye-esque knee strike that seemed to knock the masked woman unconscious, the move was a fresh debut tonight and she called it Titi Fana!
Her attention went back onto Sanada as she could hear her getting back onto her feet, and Leota would just take a run off the ropes before slamming her knee into the back of her skull with GTFS! The final nail in the coffin would be Aimee lifting Sakura back onto her feet, grabbing her into a Reverse DDT hold and spinning her into Steady Aim! She laid over Sakura and the referee counted one! two! three!
As the bell rang and Aimee Leota was declared the winner, she slowly sat up and was given her title. The referee helped her up onto her feet and her hand was raised, while her other raised the title high! As the rules of the ROH Title dictated, the Code of Honor had to be adhered to. Firstly, Aimee would offer her hand out to Kuro, who would only kick the hand away before she began to exit the ring. As she stepped out, Aimee gave her a little kick on the ass and flipped her off as she walked to the back with a full pout.
However, the code would be adhered to when she offered the handshake to Sakura, who was still covered by purple mist but had partially cleaned herself up. Leota gave her a smile and dropped her title before giving her former opponent a hug. She raised Sakura's hand before bowing and thanking the Stardom crowd, before grabbing her title again as she headed to the back along with Sakura, a new friendship appearing to form before the audience’s eyes.
