Virginity in Islam is very important. It is asked of women to remain chaste and righteous and lose virginity only on her wedding night. It does not imply that Muslim men are at liberty to have sex before marriage; the concept of virginity is not restricted to women only but to men too. Premarital or extramarital sex is forbidden to all. Unlike Christianity, celibacy is discouraged in Islam. One should devote his life to Islam but he or she is certified to live a normal life like everyone.
