Smriti Mandhana, the vice captain of India, rose three spots to second in the most recent ICC Women's ODI rankings and one slot to third among T20I hitters as a result of her outstanding performances against the West Indies and Australia. The most recent rankings update was made public here on Tuesday, with the left-hander scoring 105 in the series finale against Australia in Perth and 54 in the opening match of the current T20I rubber against the West Indies in Mumbai.
Mandhana is the only Indian batter in the top 10, with Harmanpreet Kaur, her captain, dropping two spots to 13th place, Jemimah Rodrigues rising six ranks to 15th, and Harleen Deol rising nine spaces to 64th. Deepti Sharma is now ranked fifth among bowlers, down two ranks.
After a four-for-26 haul, India seam bowler Arundhati Reddy jumped 48 spots to 51st, and Renuka Thakur went from 28th to joint 26th. Tammy Beaumont, the opener for England, moved up two spots to 11th place after winning the South Africa series 2-1 with an undefeated 65.
Tahlia McGrath went from 32nd to 24th with an undefeated 56, Ashleigh Gardner went up one spot to 16th with a 50 in Perth, while Annabell Sutherland went up 15 spots to 29th with a match-winning 110. With a five-for-30 haul, Gardner has also risen from fourth to second in the all-rounders' list and in the bowling rankings, moving up two spots to a career-best-equaling third place. Sutherland is ranked among the top 20 bowlers.
Other players to advance on this list include Charlie Dean (up two spots to seventh), Nat Sciver Brunt (up one spot to 16th), and Lauren Bell (up four spots to 21st) of England, as well as Marizanne Kapp of South Africa, who has moved up two spots to fourth place following a haul of three for 24.
Harmanpreet Kaur moves back into top 10
Rodrigues has moved up six spots to 15th place in the T20I rankings with a brilliant 73 against the West Indies, while Kaur is in the top 10.
Titas Sadhu has risen to 52nd place in the bowling rankings, while Deepti has climbed two spots to claim second place.
All-rounder Deandra Dottin has moved up 21 spots to 59th for the West Indies following a half-century, while other noteworthy gainers are Karishma Ramharack (up six spots to 20th among bowlers) and Qiana Joseph (up 22 places to 65th among hitters).
