India's T20I team is expected to add Shivam Dube as a backup for their current five-match series against England. From the third T20I onward, he should be available.
During an ODI series in Sri Lanka in August 2024, Dube made his final appearance for India. After that, he suffered a back ailment that kept him out of India's home T20I series against Bangladesh. With the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Dube made a comeback to cricket. He got three wickets at an economy rate of 9.31 and scored 151 runs with a strike rate of 179.76 in five innings.
Mumbai's Ranji Trophy encounter against Jammu & Kashmir, which concluded on Saturday afternoon, was his most recent domestic appearance. Dube took one wicket in the match as Mumbai lost by five wickets and was out without scoring in either of the two innings.
