PCW Phase Twenty-Six: The Conscience Of The King

The UIC Pavillion was full of eager faces. There was chatter amongst them and even a few arguments in the crowd. There were a handful of signs for the main event and some others peppered throughout the seats of those in attendance. They all hushed for about a split second when the lights went dim and cheered all together as red, orange and yellow light bathed the ring, ramp and stage and The Phoneix by Fall Out Boy began playing.

In no time at all Griffin west slid into view and was running up the ramp, mic in hand. He jumped up through the middle and top rope and rolled, then hopped up to his feet, raising up his microphone. "Good Evening, Chicago!" His voice rang out through the seats and he grinned, pleased with himself.

Thank you, thank you for joining us all here in the UIC Pavillion for Phase Twenty Six of PCW, The Conscience Of The King!

He clapped around the mic, then continued.

As always we have a show planned that's bound to keep you all on the edge of your seat. I won't waste your time telling you what you should be excited for, though. I'll just let you see it! To the first match!

He rolled back out of the ring and made it to his seat at commentary, bumping Quack's shoulder and talked to him animatedly about something until he'd slid his headset into place.

Jay Lethal (With Taeler Hendrix) vs Will Ospreay

The first twenty seconds of "Scorched Ops" begins to play throughout the arena. White spotlights swirl around as Jay Lethal makes his way out onto the stage, the crowd showing a mixed reaction to the man who throws both hands into the air. His index, middle and thumb fingers raised on both hands as sparks fly from both sides of him on the stage and he makes his way towards the ring. He wastes very little time, prepared to face any challenger thrown his way, followed closely by Taeler Hendrix, who kissed him deeply before letting him get inside the ring.

All of the lights turn down and smoke fills the arena floor as silence slowly fills the arena. All of the sudden, the lights blast in the center of the stage as the speakers blare out 'Invincible' by Adelitis Way. From the circle of light, Will Ospreay rises from a kneeling position, his hood keeping his face hidden. Will then jumps up as he pulls down his hood. As he takes in the rush of the crowd, the lights dim down and he points to the ring as he cracks a smirk. Slowly jogging to the ring, taking in the sight of the arena, spinning to get a full view of his adoring audience. As he approaches the apron, he hops on to the squared circle and laughs as he places his back against the ropes. He stares out at the crowd and screams, “I RUN THIS!” before turning back around and using the ropes to propel himself into the ring.

The aerial assassin didn't take his time with the match, but made a show of his prowess and ability against Jay Lethal, who was looking for his third point for championship contention. Ospreay was barely looking for his second one, but was more than willing to get it tonight. Taeler didn't intervene, she just watched intently, a smile on her lips the whole match, seemingly following her own schedule. When Ospreay took out Lethal with the Stormbreaker and was announced the winner of the match, she climbed up into the ring to hold Lethal, who was still angry about his loss.

Taeler asked for a microphone and quickly got it from one of the ringcrew members.

Don't worry, my darling... I've got a small present for you...

Flash Morgan Webster came out down the ramp and met with the cheering of the crowd, making his way inside the ring where he had been called, standing in front of Hendrix and Lethal.

Flash... Dear. Your points, please. She kept her hand outstretched, and though Flash was doubtful at the start, even as he pulled out his points from his jacket pocket, hearing the crowd's reactions, the yelling, the "Don't do it!" he put the points in Taeler's hands, knowing it was thanks to her that he had achieved them, to begin with.

Thank you, love. She leaned in and kissed the corner of Flash's lips which seemed to partially reinvigorate him, empower him and also keep him under her control again, subject to her pheromones, while giving the points to Jay.

Jinny vs Penelope Ford

As "Haute Couture" started playing, the audience knew exactly what to do. While some stray fans cheered, the rest knew that Jinny was not a friend of theirs. She was there to be the best, to show people their place, she strutted her way around the ring, wearing her black mask and the add-on coattails to her belt, making the space front row her catwalk. Stepping into the ring with ease, and outstretching her arms for the world to see her in full grandeur.

"Bad girl" started playing and the ever-charming Penelope Ford climbed inside the ring with a nice split, sliding under the bottom rope and climbing up on the turnbuckle, being cheered by the audience all the way from the ramp to the center of the ring.

The acrobatics of Penelope Ford weren't enough to take down the Couture Queen this time, despite her efforts and despite cornering Jinny more than once. Jinny fought hard and fast, trying to take out the gymnast as quick as possible while inflicting the most pain she could. Finally, it was a hold that gave her the win, as a small hat-tip she ended the bout with the Suicide Silence, but Ford refused to tap.

It was only after she'd crawled as close to the ropes as she could, got pulled back by Jinny again and her hand hit the mat three times when lifted by the referee that the self-proclaimed Queen got the victory.

Austin Theory (With Priscilla Kelly) vs Sami Callihan

Priscilla Kelly came out first, opening way for Austin Theory keeping the fans at bay, the ones who thought he would meet him there. However at the last second, he brought out such a smug grin over his facial expression that had showcased this shocked emotion— all of this was a rue, he was playing the fans with a reaction of his pearly whites to be very noticeable while those few footsteps were taken with his hands out toward each side of him with such confidence. Finally placing himself onside of the apron before he easily followed through to stand in the middle of the ring. Allowing all of the boos to follow inside as he thought to allow the fans to bask in his glory.

The lights would shut off and on the titantron the words “Death Machine” would appear in red. The first twenty-five seconds of “For Whom The Bell Tolls” would blare throughout the arena until smoke appeared on the stage, along with a white spotlight directly on the hooded figure, who would remove the hood only to reveal himself to be Sami Callihan. He raises a right hand up with his index finger pointed up and his thumb pointed outwards. He eventually made a thumbs down before making his way to the ring, with a face that would scare any of his opponents that stood across from him.

Sami's debut match started with the usual power that Callihan brings to the table, each throw and move with the intensity that both men are known for. Unfortunately, Priscilla's presence made for more than just a little bit of a distraction, as she had Austin's best interest in mind. She pulled Theory to the ropes while Sami had him in the stretch muffler so he could have a rope break and distracted the referee on a second occasion to aid Theory bypass the count of three after Callihan had hit him with the Cranial Contusion. Sami wasn't very happy with the result, as a quick succession of moves, ending with the Unproven Cutter gave Austin his third point, leaving Callihan still at zero.

Matanza Cueto vs Allysin Kay (PCW Championship Match)

"Completely" by Art of Dying started playing, and the menacing monster formerly known as Jeff Cobb stepped into view, breathing heavily and stepping with chain-rattling noises as he made his way down the ramp and into the ring, pushing the ropes effortlessly down with both hands before standing at the center of the ring.

As the melody gradually amplified, the harmonious hum signalling the arrival of the AK-47. As the words came forth with the resonating beat, she made her appearance in seconds. Nothing complex about her could be determined as she revealed herself to the crowd. Feathers embellished her features as they bounce upon her shoulders. Spiked bra, fishnets, and high-waisted shorts said it all. Allysin Kay: the very definition of a rebel. Everything about her expression read as apathy. Pinkies held up to her sides, she crosses her legs and bows before raising those fingers up high. The self-proclaimed savage continued down the ramp without a single shift in expression. Only when she climbed those steel steps did the faintest smile show, generating nothing short of a cold demeanor as she entered the ring, once again bowing as those pinkies were lifted up high.

After the huge build up for the match, the monster wasn't going to waste any time on putting away this new challenger to his 96 day reign. He went straight for her, lifting her into an attempted chokeslam, from which AK escaped by kicking him once in the head and then kicking at his neck to get him to back away.

The match was more a chase than a match, the smaller Allysin Kay came in striking fast and hard, targetting the monster's legs, over and over, from every corner, while Matanza swatted relentlessly at her, waiting for her to tire herself out with the hits he got her with. She almost got knocked out with a strong forearm, and barely managed to roll out of the ring to catch her breath. The attack on the limbs continued, but she had been considerably slowed down.

Cueto took Allysin and set her up for the Wrath of the Gods, but she escaped, wiggling and punching her way out of the hold, kicking once more at the legs of the monster, hoping her tired body would give her enough fuel to put him down. He fell to the ring on his knees, and AK ran forward to him to grab him on a modified version of the AK47, slamming him down on the mat and covering him with visible exhaustion on her face for the three count.

The audience was on their feet, as was Mike Quackenbush, slightly pale through the ovation she was receiving, even as she clutched her sides with her free hand, while the other one held on to the championship.

Griffin pulled himself back into the ring and straightened out his suit. The crowd as still wild with their reactions.

And there you have it, folks! We officially have our brand new PCW champion, Allysin Kay!

Some of the crowd cheered ferociously but there was also a loud amount of booing. Griffin just nodded and moved on.

Next week, come back to join us again for Phase Twenty-Seven: The Immunity Syndrome! We'll be right back here, same time and place. We'll see you then!

He actually waved with his free hand as the music and lights went out on him.
