PCW Live: What A Lovely Day

Moment of Bliss, Update on Tyler Breeze

M9.png

Alexa sits comfortably in her chair with a mic in hand as “Spiteful” slowly fades into the background. The blonde gives the crowd a wide smile as she crosses her legs. “Welcome to another Moment of Bliss! Tonight, there will not be a guest because there isn’t a single person in the back that’s worthy of being interviewed by the goddess. Instead, I’ll be giving you an update on Tyler Breeze.”

The fans give Alexa mixed reactions, but she continues without delay. “The PCW Champion is still out of action with bruised ribs, severe pressure in the neck area, and hypertension. There is currently not a timetable for his return...which brings into the question the championship situation. From the lips of our general manager, Taya, Tyler will either forfeit the belt or be ready to compete at Eleganza Extravaganza in June.”

The fans boo this announcement and Bliss flips her hair before standing to her feet. “Guys, it’s okay! So what if Tyler isn’t present? I will take his place as the best champion once I beat Shaul Guerrero for her title. The Goddess already has the points. Now I’m just picking my moment and waiting for the right to become champion. When I do? PCW will finally be rid of that sloppy, bratty, entitled, and—“

She couldn’t finish for Shaul was on her in mere moments. The two women battle on the ramp with Bliss escaping off the stage. She tries to run into the crowd, but Shaul yanks her back towards the stage and makes Alexa pay for her words with the Three Amigos before holding her championship up high.

Logan Square Auditorium

Jay Lethal (With Taeler Hendrix) vs Dean Ambrose vs Mitchell Knight vs Kyle O'Reilly

M8.png

Dean took control of the match early on with Lethal waiting on the outside with Hendrix. As count outs are nonexistent, Jay got comfortable as Ambrose did the work. It wasn’t until Mitchell rolled out the ring that Jay became Dean’s target. The Lunatic raced out of the ring, but Taeler stood between them. Dean had no issue snatching her by the red locks to shove her aside, but that only sparked Lethal into action. He beats Dean down on the outside and plants him with a DDT on the floor.

Jay finally slides into the ring as Knight gets back in. He tries to take advantage with a rollup, but Knight kicks out at two. The two men battle back and forth with Mitchell taking the lead with a side headlock into a takedown. He quickly transitions into an armbar. Lethal drags himself to the ropes. Meanwhile, Hendrix watches from the outside with glee. She makes sure Dean remains on the outside and that doesn’t sit well with O’Reilly. He comes racing out and tackles the woman to the floor. Lethal races out of the ring and the two men clash on the outside. Taeler tries to force Jay to focus, but Dean uses the opportunity to enter the ring.

Mitchell capitalizes with a roundhouse to the head and goes up high for the double foot stomp to secure the victory and earn two more points. Taeler shrieks in dismay and forces Jay from Kyle. She holds a hand up to keep them apart before demanding the mic.

“You want a fight, Kyle? Do you want that Falls Count, Submission Only Match? You wanna get extreme? You want Jay to tear you apart? Fine! In June, you got your match and next week? We’ll make it official. Until then, you stay far away from us or there will be positively poisonous consequences in store.”

Austin Aries vs Becky Lynch

M7.png

Becky Lynch fights hard to keep Aries on the defense, but the Greatest Man That Ever Lived doesn’t hold back and is eventually on the offensive. Even with Becky’s strength, his speed and agility keeps him ahead of the redhead for a close two-count. Lynch fights back, getting the Bexploder in the corner.

She tries to latch on the Disarm Her, but Aries gets to the ropes. Becky forces him into the corner and goes for the clothesline, but he jumps out onto the apron and forearms her. Austin springboards in with a dropkick and follows up with the Discus Lariat. Aries goes up high and connects with the 450 Splash to earn a victory and point.

A Righteous Course

M6.png

Blake stands in the ring with a mic in hand, eyes ablaze with rage. “Priscilla Kelly has decided to make me her target for the past few weeks. I’m not entirely sure what the endgame is for her, but I can tell her, without a shadow of a doubt, that I am not easy prey. From Sami to Tyler to Taya, I have stood my ground against all of them. I beat the odds and I became champion. Even as short-lived as it was, I did it. I did the unthinkable and I can do it again!”

The fans are amped up and completely behind Jenny as she airs out her grievances against Hell’s Favorite Harlot. “If you want a war, Kelly, I can give you one. Just be aware that darkness and shadows cannot exist without a light source. As much as you feel I don’t belong, that I am displaced in your reality, I am the very light PCW needs to prosper. I am the light at the end of the tunnel that guides every lost soul to the end. I am a beacon of hope that is going to lead all of PCW to better days, to a bright future. Right now I’m not champion, but I will be again someday. If I have to defeat every dark shadow that looks to cloak my path towards the end of the tunnel, then so be it. Priscilla, this is my declaration to you: I will prevail.”

The fans are now cheering Jenny on as she slams the mic down. Just as she was about to leave, the lights go out. The fans start to panic in their seats, screaming for Blake to escape. The lights are back on in moments and Jenny remains standing, but now a single, black rose laid in the center of the ring.

Rhea Ripley vs Spike Trivet (With Zara Sabre)

M5.png

Spike evades Rhea’s every attack, not wanting anything to do with the Australian. Ripley was becoming more and more fed up until she finally chased him outside the ring. Trivet grabbed Zara and put her between him and Ripley. Rhea only hesitated for a moment, but that was enough for Spike to take her down to the floor. He threw her into the barricade after slamming her head against the floor. Spike proceeded to stomp down on the woman and enters the ring to avoid a count out. He thinks he has her, but Spike didn’t count on Pavor making yet another appearance.

He made his way down the ramp at a slow pace, his lips spread into a twisted grin. Trivet didn’t wait for Pavor to approach him, and this time, he raced forward out of the ring. Just as he went to swing, however, Pavor vanishes. Trivet struck nothing, but air. Rhea made it back into the ring as Trivet looked around in confusion and panic. Rather than racing back to the match, he ran out of the area in hysterics. Zara chased after him, trying to get him to return, but it was no use. Spike list it, allowing Rhea the win via count out.

Looking for Hope

M4.png

Indigo makes her way down the hall, feeling against it. Melissa found it before by accident. Surely she could—the wall sank in where her left hand was placed before it turned open. The woman sighed deeply. If she stepped through, there would be no turning back. She finally built the nerve to go inside and make her way down the lot staircase. It was eerily quiet, not even a whisper could be heard. That didn’t stop Indigo from going further and further down until...

She reached the bottom. The room was just the same as when Melissa stumbled in. Indigo thought back to that video and made her way past the drawn-out symbols on the floor where the ritual was held. It seemed as if no one was present. Then in a few moments, she heard faint voices down a far hall. She quickly ducked behind the wall near the staircase. Vipress and Corvus came in with Harlow leading the way. Corvus still looked empty, void of life. He simply trailed behind Vipress as she spoke to Harlow.

“He’s back now. We’re together again. What will you have us do? We’re unstoppable now.”

“Indigo will continue to meddle in my business until I finally put an end to her wretched life. That mutt is also an issue...”

“We can take care of Hania and the rest of the Pack,” Vipress says. Corvus barely nods in agreement.

“I know you can. You know what will happen if you don’t. Next week, I need you to get rid of them. Skin them alive, burn them, whatever you must do? Do it. I’ll take care of Indigo once and for all. Mommy’s not around to save her this time.”

Indigo didn’t have an opening. She couldn’t take Corvus back now. It might not even do any good. He seemed too far gone as of now. She had to get rid of Harlow first. As if reading her mind, he looked in her direction. He didn’t say a word, didn’t warn them, but he stared back at her. His soulless eyes pierced through hers and kept her grounded there for a moment too long before she finally broke away. She heard footsteps and peeked around the wall to see them leaving once more. Corvus looked back and tilted his head before leaving Indigo alone.

“Shit...I can’t do this alone. No matter how unstable she is...Hania is my only hope now.”

Bray Wyatt (With Sami Callihan) vs Melissa Santos

M3.png

Melissa waits inside the squared circle as Bray makes his appearance. He soon came forth with lantern and briefcase in hand and Sami trailing behind him. She stood her ground despite the obvious fear on her face. Sami remained outside as Bray entered the ring, the lantern and briefcase carefully placed in the corner. As soon as the bell rang, she ran with all her might, but Wyatt easily shoved her aside. Melissa doesn’t stop and leaps forward with flying fists. They hardly cause damage and Bray eventually shoves her to the mat. He continues to toy with Melissa throughout the match, only occasionally kicking her aside and tossing her into the corners. He made sure to watch Sami’s reaction. Callihan stood still like a statue, void of all emotion.

Once Bray was sure he’d stay put, he finally showed Santos what he could do. He forced her into the corner and choked her until the count of four. She gasped for air as he slung her into the middle of the ring. Wyatt continued his onslaught with a cannonball for the pin. Melissa kicks out at two. He lifts her up high, looking to toss her out of the ring, but she manages to escape and drive an arm into the back of his knee. Wyatt drops down and she follows up with a neck twist to hook the leg. He powers out immediately and she’s back on the attack with fists swinging wildly. It keeps him down for a while, but he eventually shoves her away.

Bray backs into the ropes and she races forward, but he spears her to the mat with ease. Bray then lifts her from the mat onto his shoulders before dropping her torso onto the ropes. Wyatt follows up with a big boot to the face that sends her tumbling to the outside. Sami watches as she crawls away, using the apron to stand. They lock gazes momentarily and not even a twinkle of empathy is shown from him. Melissa tried to speak to him, but Bray had her by the hair from behind and dropped her back onto the apron. Santos laid still as Bray laughed, a maniacal grin plastered on his face. Sami looks on without feeling, simply observing as Bray rolled her into the ring for the pin. Still, she kicks out just barely before three. Wyatt smiled, he enjoyed seeing her fight back. It only made the torture that much more pleasurable.

He stomped down on Melissa again and again and again until she eventually coughed up blood. He grabbed her by the hair and slung her into the ropes before connecting with a scoop slam. Santos barely moves. Her eyes glazed over and blood lightly drips from her lips. Bray drags her body up, setting her up for Sister Abigail. He waited, looking down at her as she dangled in his arms. Melissa barely turned her head to look at Sami. His fists were clenched this time, veins becoming visible as his frame slightly shook. Melissa used the last bit of her strength to smile before Bray finally delivered Sister Abigail for the victory. He left her there, barely hanging on as one last attempt to torture her, letting her watch him take Sami away up the ramp.

Salina de La Renta & Low-Ki vs Scarlett Bordeaux & Kenny Omega

M2.png

Salina and Low-Ki wait impatiently as Scarlett made her entrance. She stood on stage with a wide grin before stepping aside to allow the Cleaner, Kenny Omega, to grace the arena. The fans are going wild as the couple made their way down to the ramp. Salina and Low-Ki immediately split on either side of the ring, but Scarlett and Kenny cut them off and take them down on the outside before the match can begin. Omega gets the drop on Low-Ki with a dropkick, but Salina sends Scarlett into the ring post.

She continues to beat down on Bordeaux from the outside before tossing her into the barricade. Salina quickly aids Low-Ki and she jumps on Kenny’s back. She pulls at his hair and claws at his eyes just before Low-Ki delivers a superkick. The two continue to gang up on him, but make the mistake of forgetting Bordeaux. As soon as she recovers, Scarlett retrieves a kendo stick from under the ring and drills it into the back of Low-Ki. She continues to attack him until it breaks and Salina tackles her to the floor. Both women throw strike after strike, damn near tearing each other apart before security is forced to separate both teams, the match unfortunately unable to even get started.

Killer Kross Addresses Management

M1.png

Killer Kross stands in the centre of the ring, shades covering the obvious malice that always lingers in his eyes. The trench coat just barely hands above the floor as a gloved hand grips the mic. Despite expressing his displeasure week after week, he had a crooked grin on his face. “Last week I annihilated the obstacle Taya set before me—Allysin Kay. You could even say I caused her retirement. It seems to me that Taya is willing to sacrifice :anyone: to save her handpicked champion... But tell me, Valkyrie, is it worth losing your roster? Are you truly willing to go so far as to wipe out whoever just to protect Tyler Breeze?”

Kross pauses and takes a deep breath. The smile never left his face, but the twitch at the corner made it apparent that he was losing his patience. “You use this points system as a way to keep me at bay. I’m only halfway to ten, but the way I see it, I’ve more than earned a championship opportunity. How many more bodies must I leave in my path before you give in? How many lives must end before you admit defeat? Tell me, Taya...when will your ego let you lose?”

He meant to continue, but Taya made her appearance, but she didn’t have a mic. In fact, she looked geared up for a fight. Kross raised a brow as she entered the ring and immediately stood toe-to-toe with him. He towered over her, but the general manager didn’t move an inch. She snatched the mic from him.

“You can come out here week after week and bitch about how I run things, but the fact of the matter is you can’t compete if the champion isn’t in prime condition. Surely you, of all people, do not want an easy target. Besides, Quack made it very clear that points matter. Allysin got rid of them momentarily, but he insisted that this was the best way, so maybe you should take that up with him. Until then, you’re going to compete via the rules or you can see your way out.”

He laughed in her face, but she stood her ground. Kross took the mic back and leaned over so they were face-to-face. “I'm growing impatient, woman. Points be damned, injury be damned. I want what’s already guaranteed mine. The only reason it is not in my grasp is because you continue to hide him. If he truly desires the title and wants to keep it, he will defend with everything and retain. An injury cannot stop willpower. If his will is strong, he will survive...but nobody’s will can combat a primal rage. You know this and that is why you hide him. You only delay the inevitable. I will find him.”

“You can search high and low, but until he’s healed, you won’t be doing a damn thing. And if I have to, I’ll deal with you myself.”
