PCW Live: The Comedy Of Errors

Ricochet calls out Tyler Breeze

c0f0e5bc0b875c5fef1809d6f63a87b1.png

"Tyler Breeze and Taya Valkyrie had the nerve to step in my match with Jenny and ruin my opportunity to rebuild myself after being viciously attacked and removed from the ladder match without so much as a blink of an eye. I don’t care what beef Taya has with Jenny, but it’s starting to trickle over in my road to success. While I can’t hit our general manager, I can chain her lapdog, so Tyler? Our match tonight is going to end with you laid out, just like I was last week, and with me—"

He falls silent as MJF makes his way in with Aria on his arm. She gives Ricochet a smile that quickly shifts to a glare as MJF looks his competition up and down for a moment.

“‘Your’ match also includes me. I know it’s difficult having to realize that your better is going to be in the ring with you very soon, but understand that I have just as much gripe as you. I was supposed to walk out of that match with three points AND a championship opportunity, but instead, I’m having to scrape my way to the top like the rest of you. I’m too good for this sort of treatment, but six points if the champion is pinned doesn’t sound too bad. In fact, it’ll be just payment for giving my talents without any reward.”

Ricochet laughs and walks away, looking forward to the triple threat match tonight.

Mecha Wolf 450 (With Hania and Baron Corbin) vs Alexxis Nevaeh

55fa254cd481b1d7b923dc83de2da243.png

Alexxis doesn’t back down from the Mecha, despite the backup he brought with him. He took her as a joke, lightly pushing her back against her forehead, treating her like a child. She made him pay for it with a slap across the face and that set him off. He took her down to the mat, slamming his forearms against her face. He drags Alexxis to her feet by the hair, tossing her into the corner. He chops her chest before choking her until the count of three.

Alexxis tried to recuperate and ducked out of the way of another chop. She knees him in the gut before throwing her own forearms back against him. She rebounds off the ropes for a jumping clothesline, but he remains on his feet. Alexxis rebounds off the ropes again, now sweeping his feet. She drops an elbow to his chest before mounting him for a ground and pound session. Hania and Baron had seen enough.

Corbin enters the ring, using the briefcase to take Alexxis down. Hania attacks her, as well, looking to bite down on the woman and tear her apart just as was done to Fire Ant. Shaul and Jack race out to aid the woman, taking out all three, and sending them out of the ring. They help up Alexxis as the Pack looks on with frustration. She tried to get back into the ring, but Mecha and Baron held her back, retreating for now.

Corvus vs Low Ki (With Salina De La Renta)

36af4be96000bf34be58e9450c2e15d0.png

As the match progressed, Corvus had full control. Despite the speed of Low-Ki, Corvus was just that much faster. He managed to stay a step ahead, forcing Low-Ki down to the mat for an armbar. As he wrenched on the arm, Low-Ki’s face began to morph into that of Harlow’s.

It shocked the man and he pulled away, separating himself from his opponent. Low-Ki looked like himself as he stood and Corvus tried to follow up with a clothesline. Yet again, her face appeared in his place and Corvus froze.

This was enough for Low-Ki to capitalize with a cutter. He hooks the leg, but Corvus kicks out. Low-Ki takes control, driving a boot down into his back to keep Corvus down. He then shoves the champion into the corner, driving knee after knee into it.

Corvus took every hit and still managed to headbutt Low-Ki. He hesitated, expecting to see Harlow again, but Low-Ki remained and capitalized with a monkey flip from the corner. He climbs up high and drops down on Corvus with the double foot Ghetto Stomp, pinning the champion in his first match.

Frankie Valentine & Natalya vs Will Ospreay & Flash Morgan Webster

f73a020c254d27f50598b90645e71dce.png

Will and Frankie started the match off with power versus agility. Osprey stayed ahead of Frankie, catching her with a reverse huracarrana. He goes for the pin, but she kicks out at two. He tries to stay ahead again, but Frankie managed to see a springboard crossbody coming and caught him in midair. The woman transitioned him onto her shoulders vertically for a forward slam into the pin. Will kicks out at two. They continue to go back and forth, colliding with a double clothesline.

Both tagged out and Natalya clashes with Morgan. She overpowers him, taking advantage with a stalling suplex. She looks for the Sharpshooter, but Webster grabs onto the ropes before she can lock it in. Will races across the apron and kicks her in the side of the face as Morgan pulls her towards the ropes. Frankie assists her partner by yanking Osprey down. They battle on the outside as Nattie attempts the Nattie by Nature discus lariat, but Morgan ducks just in time.

He rolls her up and she kicks out, but that doesn’t stop Webster from driving a kick to the side of the face. Just then, Jackal races out to distract the referee. Natalya knocks him down from the apron and Webster took advantage with a suplex from behind, following up with the 450 Splash for the pinfall, stealing away her point.

A Moment of Bliss with Phil Jackal

922683a5e95c42ffe437b8aa2322d6c2.png

“Last week, Natalya and Frankie had some choice words for you. We just saw them compete in a tremendous tag match, but they fell a bit short. As a matter of fact, you were there to watch it at ringside. Your thoughts?”

“They’ve always been losers. That’s why Taya shoved them together. She thought two losers could be better than one, yet they continue to squander any opportunity that’s given to them. Me? I maximize almost every opportunity I’ve had to take because Taya won’t give them to me. She has her favourites, but I’m going to succeed no matter what. A few more points and I’m in for title contention against her mutt.”

Alexa nods her head and continues. “Surely Natalya and Frankie may be a roadblock on your journey. There’s also this mysterious attacker going around—“

“I’m not concerned with a mysterious attacker. I’m too good to be attacked from behind. I’d see it coming. Right now? I want my rematch against Natalya... Or a match with Frankie.”

Alexa attempts to continue, but the lights dimmed heavily as vines started to grow upon the stage. Jackal already knew what was happening and high-tailed it out of there, leaving Alexa alone to fend for herself. The blonde was too scared to move as Hendrix appeared from backstage.

“You’ve been running from me, little girl. You do know I love a chase, right?” She pressed her lips against Bliss’s forehead, treating her like a child. Taeler took Phil’s seat and smiles. “How long do you think that can last, though? I’m a patient woman and I’m willing to weaken you every step of the way before finally sending you into a deep sleep with a Kiss Goodnight.”

Alexa’s lower lip quivers before Hendrix retracts the vines. She finally stands up, creating space between her and Taeler. “I’ll see you again real soon, Bliss.” The redhead blows her a kiss, seemingly going to walk away, but she suddenly turns and races at Bliss before shoving her off the stage and down to the floor. The blonde doesn’t move as Taeler watches from the top with a wicked grin.

“Oops.”

Kyle O'Reilly vs Jay Lethal

19e8896daeedbda8ad0a20ef6cf3c693.png

The two men circle the ring before locking up. Jay gains the advantage with a forearm to the face. He tosses Kyle into the ropes and takes him down with a dropkick. Jay allows O’Reilly to recuperate, smirking at the man as he paced the ring. “You’re not on my level, Kyle. You never will be!” This sparked some aggression from his opponent and O’Reilly takes him down with a clothesline. He drives fist after fist into the face before forcing Jay into the corner.

He goes for a running double knee to the chest, but Jay ducks out of the way. He quickly connects with a neckbreaker as Kyle was stuck and went for the pin. O’Reilly kicks out and Lethal forces him up before whipping him by the arm, following up with a roll into a kneedrop on said arm. He turns Kyle over and bends the arm behind his back, yanking back suddenly. Kyle shrieks in pain as he cradles his arm. Lethal continued to work on the arm before trying to lock in ARMaggedon. Kyle refused to tap and Jay refused to let go until...O’Reilly’s arm went back an odd angle.

The referee immediately stopped the submission and forced Jay back as he examined Kyle. He called off the match, no winner truly decided as O’Reilly was rushed from the ring.

Indi Hartwell (With Tessa Blanchard) vs Scarlett Bordeaux

85c3d5ae668307934727d90d2b5a9a5d.png

The two women lock up with Indi gaining the advantage early on. Tessa looks on with a smile, cheering on Hartwell as her partner sends Bordeaux into the ropes. Indi slingshots Scarlett back from the ropes by the neck before going for the pin. Scarlett kicks out easily, rolling away to the ropes. She stands on the apron and Indi raves towards her with a clothesline. Scarlett sidesteps her and drives a forearm into the face. She follows up with a hotshot, pulling Hartwell down on the ropes as she drops from the apron.

Scarlett begins to strut along ringside with a smirk on her face. She sways her hips, blowing kisses to the crowd as Tessa looks on with disgust. Bordeaux winks at Tessa. This allowed Indi time for a suicide dive right on top of Scarlett. She sends the blonde back into the ring and Scarlett crawls away to the ropes. Indi tries to yank her away, but Bordeaux elbows her back and follows up with a bulldog for the pin. Indi kicks out.

Hartwell was setting her up for the Impressive Legdrop just as Jimmy Havoc races out and attacks Blanchard from behind. He sends her into the barricade, distracting the referee. This allows Zack to jump the barricade and enter the ring, driving Indi’s face into the turnbuckle.
Bordeaux takes advantage with the Canadian Destroyer just as Sabre exits the ring. She hooks the leg and pins Indi for the three count. Scarlett rolls out of the ring and celebrates with the team on the outside as Tessa comforts her partner in the ring, glaring Scarlett down.

The Difficulty of Justice

e2c73123283bbbef75f5a7bdbbb35227.png

Taya had her feet kicked up on her desk as she watched the show progress. Her solitude was interrupted by a knock on the door. She tried to ignore it, but it became so incessant that she finally stood and yanked the door open. “WHA—“ Quackenbush stood on the other side with a fixed expression. He was in no joking mood, but the look she gave him showed that neither was she.

Valkyrie returned to her office desk and sat down, legs back on the desk and eyes on Mike. “Can I help you?” Mike cleared his throat and she rolled her eyes.

“Why did you fire Jenny?”

“Because nobody could tell me that I couldn’t. Anything else?”

“Taya, don’t you think that your personal hatred towards Jenny is getting...out of hand? Matter of fact, your time as general manager has turned sour. When I brought you here-“

She whipped her head to face him, lowering her feet from the desk. He cleared his throat again as she stared him down with a blank expression.

“You were different. Excitable, ready to do what’s best for PCW, and change it for the better.”

This is better, Duck. I made PCW better than it ever could have been with just you running things. We put our minds together and look—progress! Vast improvements have been made because of our partnership. What more could you ask for?”

“Fairness.”

Taya rolled her eyes.

“Life isn’t fair and neither is business. If you don’t produce any value, you don’t improve the business, and if the business stops improving, it fails. PCW is a business. I made my decision based on that... And the fact that I don’t like her. Two birds killed in one stone. I know you don’t agree... And I don’t care. I own PCW now. Ever since your departure, I’ve been making all the decisions, leading PCW in the right direction. You’ve only decided to come out of hiding now because Jenny begged you to. Talk about favouritism.”

Before Mike can protest, she pushes the panic button underneath her desk and security arrives.

“Please, gently escort Mike from my office, so that he can enjoy the show elsewhere.”

Rhea the Barbarian

90279369e25097413b02364d4c5f24c3.png

Rhea was backstage in the locker room, watching the monitor and observing the competitors showcased tonight just as Allysin takes a seat next to her. “Good show, huh? It’d be better with us actually competing since you decided to step up last week. Funny how we don’t have a match. Why is that?”

Ripley turns her head with a twisted expression. “I thought the same thing, then realized you weren’t prepared for someone who could actually beat you to challenge you. Therefore, you had Taya hold it off.”

“Funny... Because I had the same thought about you. Thing is, though, I don’t have any qualms with getting in the ring with you. I’d beat your ass right here, right now, if I wanted to.”

Rhea smirks and sits up before elbowing Kay in the side of the face. She slams the back of the head into the wall before tossing Allysin into the monitor. Sparks flew and the monitor was cracked, damn near smashed apart, as Rhea continued to brutalize Kay in the locker room. She’s eventually forced out by security, but the damage was done by then.

Ricochet vs MJF vs Tyler Breeze

4416a80fb3df975006aff409b0edf185.png

The three men battle it out with ferocity. Despite not having to compete since Moonstruck, Breeze hadn’t missed a beat. He took out MJF with a superkick before standing face-to-face with the man he attacked last week. They lock up and Ricochet takes control with a wrist lock, following up with an elevated arm drag from the ropes. Tyler flies across the ring and Ricochet follows up with jumping neckbreaker from behind for the pin. Breeze kicks out just as MFJ drags Ricochet up by his arm for an Argentine suplex. He forces Ricochet into a corner and drives a knee into the gut before whipping him into the opposing corner. He goes for a clothesline and Ricochet stumbles out of the corner, allowing Breeze to take him out with a huracarrana.

He goes after MJF immediately, but his opponent proves to be stronger than him, forcing Tyler to the mat with an STO. MJF drops a knee to the chest before turning him over for another knee to the back. He digs his knee into the spine while crossing the legs before wrenching it back into a submission. Breeze is trapped in the middle of the ring, unable to escape, but he refuses to tap out. Ricochet springboards from the ropes for a dropkick to MJF to break the hold. He gets to his feet and connects with a handspring takedown to MJF. He chases his opponent to the apron, MJF trying to recuperate. MJF kicks him in the gut and looks for a powerbomb, but Ricochet whips him into the ring post with a huracarrana counter.

Tyler shoulder blocks Ricochet from the apron and rolls out of the ring. He forces Ricochet’s back into the apron before slamming his face against it. Tyler then lifts the man on his shoulders and drops him down onto the barricade. Ricochet hangs there, barely moving as Tyler forces MJF into the ring. The man tried to fight back against the champion, nearly getting the roll-up victory, but Tyler kicks out and jabs him in the eye before connecting with the Beauty Shot for the pinfall victory.

In the Dead of the Night

0e9e4a8090d05dbddacfe53644343e04.png

Sami Callihan finds himself outside the PCW arena. He wasn’t booked and that angered him, so he resorted to trashing the junk behind the small building. The night was quiet, not a peep from nature. Even the streets were mute. The rustle of cans behind him made him whip around immediately, but no one was present. The night suddenly felt... Unsettling. No one was present, but voices could be heard all around. “Follow the buzzards... Follow Bray Wyatt...” Over and over again, the murmurs seeped into his head.

“SHOW YOURSELF!”

And he got just that as Bray materialized from behind, swinging his lamp against the back of Sami’s head. He knelt down as Callihan struggled to think clearly and smiled.

“Do not bite the hand trying to feed you and free your spirit, Sami...”

“Fuck... You...”

Wyatt smiled and stood to his feet.

“You’ll come around soon... Or you’ll die.”
