PCW Phase Twenty: Sleeping Beast

The Korakuen Hall had more attendees than the previous week. The red, yellow and orange lights flickered over the ramp and then filtered to the ring as The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy began to play. Griffin came out at the start of the chorus with one arm out, his mic already held up to his mouth.

Hey there Tokyo! Welcome to P.C.W for Sleeping Beast!

He ran up the ramp and slid his way into the ring, running one lap around the ring.

We're back live from Korakuen Hall and ready to bring you some serious action!

He pointed back up the ramp.

We're starting the first match with a bang bringing you two tough and mostly evenly matched competitors. Why don't we give them a welcome, huh?

He clapped his hand to start off the audience who followed suit even as he rolled out of the ring and strolled over to commentary, sliding up right into Mike's personal space, taking out a headset with mic of his own that matched his suit and settled in, inviting himself into the conversation.

Jamie Frost vs Frankie Valentine

VTZ's Cold as Ice started playing and the slow notes guided the smirking Jamie Frost down the ramp. She nonchalantly touched hands with a few people, but for the most part, focused on getting to the ring and making a show of it, keeping cool as she stepped between the ropes.

The first few notes of “I Will Not Bow” hit and the crowd perked up, anxious to see the owner of the Breaking Benjamin tune as the titantron loads. The boos quickly split to cheers as Frankie Valentine’s name and face appear and she sauntered out of the curtain with her hands up, making a turn to show herself off and flexed, before walking down the ramp. She slid into the ring and up on the turnbuckle and flexed her arms again with a smirk on her face, hopping down to get ready for the match to start.

Both women had similarities all over, from head to toe and even the strength of their moveset. Despite how hard they were going at one another, they oddly seemed to complement each other really well. Their moves flowed easily and seamlessly, going every step of the way in a good rhythm. The crowd was divided between cheering for one and the other, ending up in an: "Ooh, twin pixie power" hooligan chant.

Finally, it was Frankie who took the victory with her Valentine's Day Massacre, winning her second point, but she helped her opponent up, who took the hand in a rather good mood.

Abyss vs Robbie Sallis

As "Left Behind" started playing and the imposing figure of Abyss walked out of the ramp, stomping his way towards the ring, huge steps bringing him to the apron, where he pulled down the third rope to take a step over it, showing off his power, weight and height. He was ready to destroy his opponent, and waited perfectly still under the lights for the match to start.

Robbie Sallis came out as confident as his opponent, jumping up and down and decided to make an impact on the people who didn't know him yet. The loud crowd made up for his silence as they cheered him on all the way to the ring.

This would be Abyss' third point for contention and Robbie's second. The match was brutal in every way within the rules, though the monster did bend them a little, taking a second too long to let go of holds, or moving Robbie away from corners. The striker focused on taking the big man down, attacking the legs, the ankles and finally the head when he managed to get him to a kneeling position.

It didn't take long before Abyss, exhausted and in pain, decided to put an end to Robbie's fast and constant blows and kicks. And before everyone's eyes, a violent looking Shock Treatment put an end to the match, giving Abyss his third point for contention.

Ladies and gentlemen of PCW, I come to you in good faith to deliver a message: Sunday, May 20th in The Tokyo Dome is going to be something magical and I come here as a simple messenger. Quack and I have known each other for a while now and I know that this is going to be one of his last few matches and I'm honored that one of the last opponents such an incredible competitor gets to face is yours truly.

I have said, time and time again, that this will be the true main event of TWA WrestleFest IV and I mean it with all my heart and soul. This match means more than any title because it is about honor, about respect for each other and for you and for this business.

I will give Quack everything I have to offer in that ring come the twentieth and we are going to blow the roof off of Japan! Ladies and gentlemen of PCW, you are going to see the official rise of the Lord Of The Skies.

Look to the heavens for you shall see the crowning

Madison Eagles vs Allysin Kay

As the melody gradually amplified, the harmonious hum signalling the arrival of the AK-47. As the words came forth with the resonating beat, she made her appearance in seconds. Nothing complex about her could be determined as she revealed herself to the crowd. Feathers embellished her features as they bounce upon her shoulders. Spiked bra, fishnets, and high-waisted shorts said it all. Allysin Kay: the very definition of a rebel. Everything about her expression read as apathy. Pinkies held up to her sides, she crosses her legs and bows before raising those fingers up high. The self-proclaimed savage continued down the ramp without a single shift in expression. Only when she climbed those steel steps did the faintest smile show, generating nothing short of a cold demeanor as she entered the ring, once again bowing as those pinkies were lifted up high.

The opening of Prelude 12/21 hit the speakers, surrounding the arena, as Madison Eagles arrived through the curtain. A smug and arrogant smile on her face that didn't do anything to get the fans on her side anymore. Madison just gave a few members of the crowd the middle finger and crotch chopped a few others while she made her way down the ramp before sliding into the ring.

After Kay's fighting words, Madison's fighting spirit was up and high, and she wasn't ready to lose that night. The Korakuen Hall was wild with booing and cheering, and both women gave it their all during the fight. They took the action to the outside of the ring, Allysin slammed Madison's shoulder against the ring post, and the aggression didn't end there. The match only seemed to get more violent as the minutes went by.

Madison Eagles attempted her finisher on Kay, but the newcomer caught her with the Silencer midair, tackling her down to the mat for a clean pin, from which the veteran took a while to recover.

Taeler Hendrix vs Jinny

As "Haute Couture" started playing, the audience knew exactly what to do. While some stray fans cheered, the rest knew that Jinny was not a friend of theirs. She was there to be the best, to show people their place, she strutted her way around the ring, wearing her black mask and the add-on coattails to her belt, making the space front row her catwalk. Stepping into the ring with ease, and outstretching her arms for the world to see her in full grandeur.

Taeler's moves and seductive pace left the crowd speechless, hypnotised almost by the way she seemed to control her body, even as she slid up on the apron and threw her head back, letting her red locks touch the canvas before standing up and getting inside to face her opponent.

There was something different about Taeler's behavior. Something in her seemed to irradiate a feeling of unease to everyone close by, which was clearly pointed out by the commentators at the table. Jinny was within the range of this pheromonal change and was quickly drawn to her opponent in a blind fit of rage, throwing herself as violently as she was always, but the aggression was far less directed and methodical than it usually was.

The couture queen exhausted herself before the match had even begun, taken over by this strange aroma in the air. Taeler took her time, slow and steady, coming close to Jinny for the fatal Kiss of Death, taking her out while the Queen of Couture stared at the ceiling, just hearing the referee slamming his hand against the canvas.

Well, that definitely isn't going to have any later ramifications, huh flockers?

He started talking as the wrestlers left the ring and pulled himself back up into it.
