Phase Sixty-Three: Shiny And Chrome

Spike Trivet's Complaints Demands

M0.png

Taras Tkachenko's Ride or Die filled the huge arena, the lights dimming and coming back to full life as they usually did to greet the Deathmatch Prince, the Artist of Bloodshed.

But he wasn't there.

It was his assistant who showed up. A small, curly-haired, blond boy with large glasses and a very expensive suit, he started reading from a digital notepad, pushing his glasses up once, clearing his throat.

"D-Dear Mrs Mundo, or Mrs Spade, or Mrs Nitro, Or Hennigan. Or Impact. Or Morrison. Or Blackcraft. Or Blaze.  Or whatever your h-husband's name is this week."

He sighed, looked around and continued with the letter.

"I'm-I'm not usually one for formal complaints, so I won't turn this into one of those. Consider this more of a memorandum. A written promise."

His voice had started to pick up in volume, sounding more and more like Spike himself was standing in the ring.

"In the past few weeks, I've felt personally attacked by the actions of the members of your roster, I say your roster, because we both know it is more yours than Quackenbush's. Especially in the way all of them behave. From Mike, I'd expect maybe passive aggressiveness, but since these are your ugly, unwanted children, they're all beasts.

They're ungrateful pricks who have nothing better to do than bother me and get in my way. Austin Aries and I have got unfinished business, MJF is in this company and I haven't been invited to face him yet, Pavor Nox has been interfering with my matches like I owe him something.

It's about time you do something about it. And I assure you, you will. Because otherwise, I'll take matters into my own hands, and they won't be the only ones to suffer the consequences of your inaction.

The child, for he was barely more than a child, took a deep breath, looking around again as if he'd just woken up from an adrenaline and power induced stupor, he started to run away from the ring, but stopped at the ramp right before leaving, turning around with the microphone still in his hands.

“If one abuses or neglects internal powers, external forces will act accordingly.

S-Sincerely yours, Spike Trivet."

Mitchell Knight vs Dean Ambrose vs Ricochet vs Flash Morgan vs Zack Sabre Jr (Elimination Match)

M1.png

This was an exciting start for the show with Zack and Mitchell being the stars of the match. As hard as Dean fought, he was the first to go by Sabre. Flash took the next fall after Zack countered a rollup into the Rings of Saturn submission hold to tap him out.

It came down to him and Mitchell and they didn’t disappoint. It was Knight, however, who took the surprising victory after Sabre misses a clothesline. Mitchell rolled him up for the three count.

Team R.A.W vs Natalya & Frankie

M2.PNG

Tessa takes on Frankie early on. The brunette nearly plants Frankie with a hammerlock DDT, but Frankie counters into a fisherman’s carry before tagging in Natalya. Frankie plants Blanchard with a sit-out powerbomb before Natalya stomps on the back of the head and races back with a dropkick for a two count. Tessa struggles to get to Carmella as Natalya grabs the leg and yanks her back into a German suplex. She looks for another pin, but Tessa kicks out.

Natalya whips Blanchard into the ropes but she rebounds with an explosive clothesline. She crawls to her corner for the tag and Carmella battles the veteran back. She connects with a huracarrana before going for the bronco buster in the corner. Natalya rolls out the way and follows up with another suplex from the corner. Natalya looks for the discus lariat, but Carmella ducks just in time for the superkick. Frankie breaks up the pin, but Tessa makes her pay with a spear.

It’s absolute chaos in the ring, but it’s Carmela who gets Natalya with the Code of Silence to tap her out. Now having points to challenge for the titles, both women hold up the belts, promising that there will be new champions soon enough.

Phil Jackal's Open Challenge

M3.png

“Time and time again, I’ve proven that I’m the best competitor in PCW. Both of the titles on my shoulders is more than enough to make you all a believer. You would think that’s all it would take, but I’m still not considered the best. People still made snide comments, ignores what I say, make light of what I do...so I’m going to put an end to that. It doesn’t matter who...I am putting forth an open challenge. Not for my belts, but just giving someone the chance to prove Jackal wrong.”

It is Kyle O’Reilly who answers the challenge. Jackal looked somewhat nervous took Kyle head on. Both men were quick on their feet, exchanging strikes back and forth until Phil gains the advantage with a headbutt. He whips Kyle into the ropes and follows up with a running neckbreaker. He hooks the leg, but O’Reilly kicks out. Jackal tried to keep control, but Kyle battles back. As he gained momentum, Taeler Hendrix made her way out to the ring. She grinned at Kyle as she swayed her hips, eyes locked on him.

O’Reilly didn’t allow her to distract him, but Hendrix didn’t give him a choice when climbing the apron. Phil whipped Kyle into her and she grabbed hold of him, planting a kiss to his lips. The man was stunned long enough for Jackal to deliver a superkick for the pinning victory. Taeler, pleased with herself, entered the ring. She wasn’t satisfied with his loss and proceeded to beat down on Kyle. She lifts him up, looking to plant him with a DDT, but O’Reilly works his way out of it and drives a roundhouse to the head.

Hendrix rolls out to avoid further damage but snatches up the mic. “Jay sends his regards, Kyle.”

Alexa Bliss vs Shaul Guerrero

M4.png

The match has an explosive start as Guerrero takes down Bliss down with a spear. She drives fist after fist into the face before forcing Alexa to her feet. Shaul tosses Alexa into the corner for a clothesline, but Alexa counters with an STO. She hooks the leg, but Guerrero immediately kicks out. The champion attempts to get the upper hand, but Bliss makes sure to bend all the rules to stay ahead. It’s when Shaul gets a superkick that the tide changes.

She goes up high for a moonsault, but Alexa gets the knees up before rolling out onto the apron. She looks to go up high for the Twisted Bliss, but Shaul manages to push the legs out in time. Bliss hangs on at the top as Shaul recuperates. The champion forearms Alexa before following up with a handstand takedown in the corner. Bliss is tossed to the mat hard. She is forced into the ropes as Shaul goes for the submission, forcing the referee to count. Shaul backs away and charges for a running knee. She goes for the submission again, but Alexa rolls her up for the two count.

Alexa is back to her feet first and drives a knee into the face for the DDT shortly after to secure the victory and points to challenge Shaul for the title.

Planting the Antiseed

M5.png

Valkyrie scribbles down information on a form, detailing the events of PCW. She was deep in concentration until an interruption in the form of a knock on the door sounds. Taya furrows her brows in frustration and glares at the wooden object. “What?!”

It creaks open and Melissa steps through. She gulps as Valkyrie stares her down. “We need to talk.”

“Look, I really don’t care about Sami and what he’s doing. This is part of PCW. Things happen and you just have to accept it for what it is, Melissa.”

The brunette steps forward and slams her hands on the desk. Taya doesn’t flinch, but her glare only deepens. “I’m not asking for permission, Taya. I’m telling you that I’m going after Sami. I will fight for...or even against him if I have to. I’m telling you to put me in that ring. Bray, Harlow, or even Sami. I’ll do what I have to to get him back.”

Taya starts to laugh in her face and rolls her eyes. “You realize what you’re asking, right? They will kill you if they want to and I’m in no position to stop that. It’s part of the PCW experience. Every roster member is aware of the risks, death included. Are you ready for that?”

“Doesn’t matter,” Melissa responds with a deep sigh. “It’s what I have to do.”

“....fine then. Melissa against Bray Wyatt next week. Buena suerte.”

Conductor of the choir of death

M6.png

“She’s going to fight you...?” Sami asks in a low tone. Bray ceased to rock in his chair. He looks over at Callihan as the man watches Harlow and Vipress work on Corvus.

The latter was still strapped to the table, dazed. It was as if his conscious was completely overtaken. Sami finally met Bray’s gaze as he received no answer. Wyatt nods. “I am,” Sami says nothing at first. He thinks on the answer for a while before speaking.

“Let me do it instead.”

“No,” Bray responded harshly. “You’ve been compromised.” Sami’s eyes widened in confusion and disbelief at the worse being spoken.

“I a—“

“You think I don’t know? I see all, child. She has already changed you. Not entirely, but there is a longing for her. I must get rid of her and you will not interfere. Do you understand?”

Sami was quiet for a moment and nodded. “What will I do then?”

“Jackal has issued a challenge. Accept it.” Callihan nodded and focused his eyes on Harlow again. The woman felt his eyes on her and she turned to give him a sinister grin.

“Would you like to see?” Callihan stepped forward as she moved aside. His eyes were fixated on Corvus’s body as needles pierced his skin in several places. His face, torso, arms—what was she doing?

“Fear not. While it does cause some pain, he’s fine. All I’m doing is tapping into his energy flow, tampering with it. He was able to escape me once. What Vipress has will not be enough for him. I’m going to change him completely. His psyche, his heart, his entire being—all mine.” Vipress looked over to Sami with distrust and stepped away.

“He’s a friend of ours, Vipress. Don’t be apprehensive. Bray and I have a deal. He’s brought me Corvus and I will help him take Melissa Santos.”

Mecha Wolf & Hania vs Corvus & Vipress

M7.png

Hania paces back and forth with a snarl on her face. While she was tamed momentarily, what Corvus showed Indigo what to do was more temporary than anything. Mecha watched her carefully as Corvus and Vipress are revealed as the mystery opponents. Vipress grinned at Hania, but Corvus was like a zombie. His face did not change, his movements were slow, and he remained behind Vipress until they approached the ring.

The match, however, was completely different. Corvus was taking it to Mecha with hard-hitting strikes and technical prowess. He seemed unmoved by the attacks Mecha landed, but they were enough for him to get the upper hand. He tagged in Hania and the two went for a double backbreaker. Corvus kicked out of the following pin. He tagged in Vipress and she and Hania tried to rip each other to shreds. Vipress goes for the mandible claw, but Hania forearms her hard. She takes the woman down with a roundhouse and goes up high for the moonsault. Corvus attempted to break it up, but Mecha kept him at bay for Hania to take the victory.

Corvus and Vipress did not seem upset. In fact, Vipress’ smile widens. She winks as they both roll out of the ring as if they had won after all. Corvus looks back to the Pack and blinks. There was nothing behind those dark eyes. Whatever Harlow did, this was the results—a hollowed out maniac.

Jenny Blake vs Priscilla Kelly

M8.png

Blake has Kelly on the ropes early on, taking her down with the meteora for the pin. Priscilla kicks out and proceeds to battle Jenny back into the corner. She bites down on the face and the referee starts to count. Kelly laughed him off and slammed the head into the corner before sending Jenny out with a handstand takedown. She sizes Blake up and goes for a boot, but Blake dodges it.

Jenny connects with a neckbreaker and springboards from the ropes with a lionsault into the pin. Priscilla kicks out again. Kelly crawls to the ropes and Jenny goes for the dropkick to send Kelly out onto the apron. Jenny follows up with a forearm before flipping herself over using the ropes to connect with a huracarrana that sends Priscilla to the floor. The crowd chants for Jenny as she attempts to send Kelly back in, but the succubus is crafty. She sends Jenny into the ring post before stomping down on her over and over again. Kelly loses sight of the match and tears into Blake until the referee counts to ten.

She drags Blake to the stage and wastes no time in planting her with a DDT before tying the woman up into the octopus hold, biting on Jenny’s face once again until security has to rip her from the luchadora. Kelly didn’t leave without a souvenir, grabbing and ripping a strand of hair from Blake’s head to keep.

Killer Kross vs Allysin Kay

M9.png

The two giants met face to face in the centre of the ring, foreheads pressed together, and neither competitor backing down. Kross suddenly lifted Allysin onto his shoulders, but she elbowed her way out of the fireman’s carry and connected with a back fist to the side of the face. Kross stumbles but remains on his feet. Allysin rebounds off the ropes for a shoulder tackle, but he bounces her back. Kross starts to laugh and she raises a brow before smirking. Kay rebounds off the ropes again and Kross goes for a shoulder tackle of his own, but she bounces him back this time. Both rebound off the ropes this time, but Kross knocks her down this time around.

He attempts to lift her from the ground for a gut wrench powerbomb, but she remains on the mat and tosses him up and over. Kay stomps down on the chest heavily before exiting the ring. She spots a fan with a cup of beer and snatched it up, taking a sip before she reenters the ring to dump the rest on Kross. She was playing with him, clearly confident that she will win. Kay drags Kross to the ropes and chokes him on the bottom, no count is made. She then steps out and rams him in the face with a big boot. She goes for the pin, but he powers out at one. Allysin grabs the legs and drags him out of the ring and to the floor with a thud. This was the first time Kross was being dominated. The fans were in muted awe but gave a mixed reaction as she held up a pinky. Kross slowly gets to his feet and she goes for another boot but misses. He lifts her from behind with a side suplex to the floor. Kay doesn’t move.

Kross starts to laugh once he saw Allysin lying still and pulled a chair from the ring. He pulled out another and another and another, stacking them in a low pile as Kay barely stirs. He grabs the woman by her hair, forcing her to her feet. He sets her up for a powerbomb, attempting to lift her again, but she bites the leg hard and Kross strikes her in the back. She drops to her knees but bites him again. This time she strikes the opposite leg, as well, unable to muster the strength for much else. It was enough, though, and Kross instead tosses her into the barricade like a ragdoll. Kross forces Kay to her feet, slamming her face into the barricade. He goes for a forearm, but she instinctively blocks it and spears him on top of the chair piles. Both are down for some time, but Allysin stands first. She looks under the ring and her smile widens as she pulls out a machete.

If you know her history, she’s used it more than once. Kay wasted no time in slicing down at Kross, but he barely rolls out of the way. Crawling away from her, Kross avoids her playful attacks. At one point, she drags the blade along the ring post and apron with a grin. It was when he stood to his feet that she threw it at him and it narrowly misses, jamming into the barricade. She forearms him in the jaw and whips Kross into the ring post before tossing him back into the ring for the pin. He barely kicks out at two. Kay forces him into the corner for a hard chop. She then goes for a corner clothesline, but he counters with a sudden chokeslam. Kross hooks the leg, but she kicks out at two. Getting somewhat desperate, showing a new side of himself, Kross turns her over for a single-leg Boston crab. Kay refuses to tap out, dragging herself towards the ropes.

It didn’t stop the count, but she was able to stand up and shove him off her. The two stand off for a moment, recuperating before clashing in the centre of the ring. Allysin gains the advantage with the Big D, but she’s too weak for the pin. Kay rolls out of the ring and manages to retrieve a table. She slides it into the ring and slowly sets it up. She wasn’t done yet, grabbing a pouch hanging from one of the corners. She pours out the thumbtacks on the wooden surface before grabbing hold of Kross. He tries to fight back, but she keeps him ground before sending him into the table. She tries to lift him up, but he fights her off before sending her into the corner. He sets her up high on the corner. Allysin doesn’t go easy, fighting him back but he ultimately headbutts her and sends her crashing down with the Doomsday Saito through the table for the three count, taking all her points.
